Makes sense. We've been trending to 4x16 for a long time. I really wanted a VA and NC school for good away game destinations, but this makes a lot of financial, branding, and academic sense.

Does it still have to do with cable TV subscriptions in the states? Like would Texas add anything to the ESPN package since we are already there.. in NC and VA those are new markets

I was thinking ever since Emmett commented on a de-centralization of the NCAA’s governance that it might happen where the power conferences merge to create their own association basically

Who would the big 12 get or would it just dissolve as a conference?

I hate it.......but

It’s time for P5 and a few others need to bolt and just form their own division.

If that happens they should redo all the power conferences to give a little more parity, the SEC is going to be brutal compared to everyone else otherwise.

Wonder why...doesn't Texas pretty much print money from the Longhorn Network? Don't think they would get to keep that sweet deal and join the SEC
I think it’s beginning to implode and isn’t set to be renewed. They’d spin otherwise, but they overplayed their hand and it damaged the conference.
