"Coach Dooley, coach Joseph and coach Wilcox were at the house tonight (Friday) and they talked to my mom," Jacobs said. "At first my was mom wasn't really buying into Tennessee. She was concerned that it was too far away. But after she asked a lot of questions and got the answers she was looking for she's alright with Tennessee. She really liked the coaches and that's who I will sign with on Wednesday."

Jacobs, who has 3 years to play 2 years, has been a Texas A&M commitment but the recent firing of Mike Sherman and the defensive staff had Jacobs looking around and he liked what he saw on Rocky Top.

"I really liked the campus a lot," Jacobs offered. "I like the way they do things with their program. I really liked their whole program, the coaches, the players, the Vol for Life program, the facilities and the academic help. It feels good to have everything over with and I'm very happy to be going to Tennessee."
