Truth is the truth. He is a failure.

I agree he hasn't done much to date... The Kentucky loss is still The only thing he'has been a part of that people didn't expect. The UT football team has played like a young inexperienced squad, while getting manhandled by Senior and Junior laden SEC teams with depth. The next two years will tell the tale. If UT isn't competing for the East by the end of 2013 Dooley will more than likely be gone, whether we like it or not...

The UK debacle should have been the turning point for anyone still on the fence.

... or he will be seen as the second coming of Saban. Funny how people focus on the negative possibilities but not what the best-case could be.

Clearly Dooley is building up. Trolls are shatting their pants. :loco:

you better hope like he!! he keeps getting these classes cause its the only way hes gonna cover up his crap play calling on the field...i dont see the last 2 years worth of top 15 recruiting classes pulling out any wins for him..maybe some jr college guys that werent smart enough to get scholarships in the first place can pull him out some wins...i can hear the bama fans now.."they gotta get dumb thugs to play on their team that couldnt make the grades at a real school".

yeah hes just like saban,,,next year all our linemen will be over 300 pounds and look like starters in the nfl, not to mention we will be playing for a national championship after we go undefeated in the biggest turnaround in college football history...all he needed was this recruiting class to make him a winner.:good!:

Coach Dooley, coach Joseph and coach Wilcox were at the house tonight (Friday) and they talked to my mom," Jacobs said. "At first my was mom wasn't really buying into Tennessee. She was concerned that it was too far away

Sounds like we better wait for the ink to dry b4 counting on him not flipping at the last hour

I am a Dooley supporter. I will continue to support him after I believe he has had enough time to build Up the depth on this team adequately. I still think he needs 2 more recruiting classes. If at the end of 2013 UT isn't looking like a possible SEC CG contender they have the wrong guy IMO.

Fair enough, but under what potential scenario might we say, "dang we got a steal with guy CDD; I hope we extend his contract for a long time!" ?

you tell me,,how have we been looking against those SEC teams that have finished just a few spots higher in the recruiting rankings the past few years.

Dude. Take a step back for a minute. Now take a deep breath. .... OK?

Here:

Year Rank
2007 3 (32 players)
2008 35
2009 10
2010 9
2011 13

List the RS Seniors that contributed this year? (2007)
List the True Seniors that contributed this year? (2008)
List the RS Juniors that contributed this year? (2008)
List the True Juniors that contributed this year? (2009)
List the RS Sophmores that contributed this year? (2009)
List the True Sophmores that contributed this year?(2010)
List the RS Freshman that contributed this year? (2010)
List the True Freshman that contributed this year?(2011)

If you can do this, then you will understand the point of every rational poster on this board. Class rankings and stars mean jack once players hit the field, and in our case when they DON'T hit the field.

What does a 3rd, 35th, and 10th ranked class really mean when there is only a handful of players left that actually contribute of the 71 players that were signed those 3yrs?

When you can formulate a position that explains this to me then I will happily join your crusade.

There is a big difference between a team that has 20-30 players left of the 70 or so they signed compared to a team that has 5. This is what your seeing on the field. Our problem is not that we're finishing 10th and Bama, Florida, LSU, is finishing in the top 5. They actually retained their players, we did not. The guys they signed are still on their team where ours are at other schools, in the NFL, or out of football altogether.

And herein lies the problem. Even when you spell it out for them, it will be too complicated for them to understand. They would rather spew garbage about firing Dooley than to be rational.

I can't wait until the bickering ends, and the high fivin' begins. Patients is a word overused in Volnation, but it is certainly required.

I blame it on politics, Henry Ford, and Hitler. Apparently it's more important to have an opinion that's to the left or right and argue it to the death.

Post the rest of the quote.

“Coach Dooley, Coach Joseph and Coach Wilcox were at the house tonight (Friday) and they talked to my mom,” Jacobs said. “At first my mom wasn’t really buying into Tennessee. She was concerned that it was too far away. But after she asked a lot of questions and got the answers she was looking for she’s alright with Tennessee. She really liked the coaches and that’s who I will sign with on Wednesday.”
