Of course most of you are familiar with at least the names Evan Turner, David Lighty, John Diebler, etc., if not the player themselves. Well I'm going to inform all of my Tennessee friends of perhaps the most critical cog in the OSU machine: Mark "The Shark" Titus.

Mark is a benchwarmer walk-on who created a blog called "Club Trillion" which focuses on being a nobody really. The blog is called that because his ultimate goal is to get into a game for one minute and do nothing, so on the box score it looks like a one trillion.

Mark has been on ESPN numerous times and is probably the most famous walk-on benchwarmer in the history of mankind (Edit: Suck it, Rudy). But on a serious note, he's used the blog's popularity to sell t-shirts and the proceeds all go to A Kid Again charity in Columbus which helps children with life threatening illnesses. To date Mark and his blog have helped raised over $45,000 for the charity by selling t-shirts...truly amazing for a nobody benchwarmer to accomplish this.

New article that is a good summary of Club Trillion

Mark Titus: Mr. Rainmaker

I know some people on here already know him, so don't take this as some Buckeye brainwashing experiment - his blog is genuinely funny and its not some big buckeye circle jerk.

When you see some little white guy waving his towel on the bench way too enthusiastically, you'll know who it is.

And I'm also sure you've heard of Rod Wilks
I found this:
Wilks has become notable of sorts, as the VolNation.com message boards have created legendary tales about Wilks. Not malicious in nature, and very similar to the famed Chuck Norris Facts and Bill Brasky skits on Saturday Night Live, these jokes have become a staple of the VolNation.com message boards.
The origin of the outlandish tales is a form of satire of a VolNation.com poster from the town that Wilks is from (Smyrna, TN). This poster posted regulary about stories of Rod Wilks, thus, it originated as something making fun of that poster. It has grown to be a local legend between Vol fans, not just those on VolNation's message boards.

some lady in a red track jacket lost her Michigan when she saw me putting everyone's life in danger with my fierce high fives. I told her to calm the Michigan down because I was on the team and we just won in an incredibly improbable way.

I may steal that but replace Mich with Alabama

HaHaHa....that made me laugh!:)

classic.

Although you can easily substitue MikeHamiltonFan (who has been missing as of late) or SaintBruce or a plethora of others for bosgap and still have the same comedic effect.

I laughed pretty hard when he entered his name into the NBA draft and Stern forced him to withdraw it by using threats. Good ole Stern.

Here's another one. Funny guy that Shark. Good heart. There's hundreds of athletes out there like Mark. And, it's unfortunate that a negative story usually has more legs and carries the furthest. Thanks for this one.

This blog is actually pretty revealing... In his post dated March 16 Mr. Titus reveals to us that "...my left arm was restrained in a sling because of the recent shoulder surgery I had to repair my torn labia." I did the double take too. I'm not surprised that an OSU player hurt their vagina.

FWIW, I think he put that on purpose, as a joke.

So I've read the blog, watched vids posted here and other places... This is my new favorite non-Tennessee player.

Awesome story and a very unique person.

Walk-on athletes are truly a fascinating group in college athletics. All of the pain, none of the glory.

And he's a really bright kid, was recruited by Harvard and other mid-majors, so, while he isn't Big Ten talent, the kid can still play.

Scored a 36 on his ACT i believe.

His shot video he made was impressive. The "scrappy player" or whatever part where he dives for a loose ball and then smiles and winks at the camera was hilarious.

His AAU team was ridiculous. It's almost surreal that he had so many future NBA players and college stars on his team. Talk about humbling for a successful high school star.

Didn't look at his site so this may be linked but it appears he's gaining some noteriety too:

ESPN Radio

Briefly discusses our game but mostly talks about Turner.
