OSU coaches comment

All this means is that they are pissed they didn't get him. Urban ran away from the sec because he knew he couldn't keep dominating and his time was up. If they play an sec schedule last year they don't even make the playoffs.

^ x 1000

Imagine them beating....

LSU in Death Valley?
Alabama at Tusc?
Auburn on the plains?
aTm, Miss State or Ole Miss early in the season?
UT in Knoxville in mid-Nov?

OSucksU would lose most of those.

The so called coach is an idiot and this only helps UTs chances to actually sign him. Just because he's verbally committed doesn't necessarily mean anything, as we all know.

So the coach is a fool!

My thoughts exactly. I guess we don't have to worry about The OSU coming in and stealing a recruit. Not a good time to express his sour grapes.

Yet another reason the playoff committee should have voted TCU into the number 4 slot.

OSU blows but they would not have lost most of those if any. SEC was overrated last year. I like that you have UT on there but they would have absolutely destroyed us along with MSU, OM, TAM, and LSU. Auburn had no defense and OSU would still be running against them. They beat AL on a neutral field but it was close so I will give yo that one. OSU does suck but your grapes are as sour as that coach's.

Game by game, you might be right. But force OSU (or any other team) to run the SEC gauntlet week after week after week and none come away without an L or two. Even if the SEC-W was a little over-rated last year.

Playing a B10 (or PAC or ACC or even B12) schedule simply isn't like playing an SEC schedule. B12 comes closest.

This is the article: Is the writer even being a little sarcastic?

Rated as the No. 6 pro-style quarterback in the country, Guarantano chose the Vols over Ohio State and Rutgers and Buckeyes coach Zach Smith didn't mince words about the decision.

GREAT players THRIVE in competition... Not amidst MEDIOCRITY.... We hope you remember this.

Now this goes without saying, but Ohio State is deep at quarterback with the Big Three – J.T. Barrett, Braxton Miller and Cardale Jones – locked down to play.

Not to mention, the Buckeyes signed incoming five-star quarterback Torrance Gibson. So given the depth under center, it's not much of a surprise that Guarantano picked Tennessee.

Just noticed how this dude crosses the 'm' out of his last name and calls himself a Sith. Someone needs to let him know that Star Wars was two decades ago, and was pretty geeky even back then. Grow up, man, you're a college football coach!

Not sure if serious but it's because of Michigan. so M's are censored at Ohio state. Still petty. It'd be like UT replacing Alabama with red team everywhere and all year. That'd be beyond stupid just like the M with Ohio state.

I agree as even Bama stumbled. OSU wasn't undefeated as well but was peaking at the right time. What was amazing is the depth of the OSU team. Can't stand Urban but that coaching job was pretty remarkable.

Oh, that's why. Football coaches and fan bases stealing pages from the Crips & Bloods playbook. Yeah, I was serious, didn't know about this child's game they engage in up there.

Well, that's slightly better than him wanting to be a real-life Sith Lord, but only slightly. :)

It's not as if there is no competition at UT. Here are the 247 composites (not counting Dobbs or Miller):

OSU

Cardale Jones .87 2012
J.T. Barrett .93 2013
Torrance Gibson .96 2015

UT:

Jauan Jennings .93 2015
Quentin Dormady .90 2015
Sheriron Jones .90 2015

Cardale and Barrett are "proven," no doubt. Nevertheless, if a QB recruit is looking for Day 1 easy playing time, he's definitely not choosing us, especially with Rutgers being a serious option.

You're absolutely right. The thing is, no one in the nation would know that OSU had three really good QBs if that team hadn't had the great run they did last year.

We haven't had that kind of run (yet), so people don't know what we got.

So you can kind of understand the idiot thinking that going to Tennessee == settling for mediocrity, he simply hasn't seen the results yet of Butch and his crew's persistent recruiting and coaching efforts. Because you and I are paying close attention, we do see what's coming.

They'll learn, they just need a little time. ;) Go Vols!

The tweet is still up. Probably got an attaboy and a chest bump from ole Urbs...who by the way is 1-0 in the Convicted Murderer Playoff.

I personally think he would have tried to fake his own death to get out of Florida because of his involvement in cover-ups concerning Aaron Hernandez and others on his team.

But we are that Tennessee until proven otherwise.

No we are not that Tennessee anymore. bUTch has us rising... this team will continue to rise to the top. There are only an elite few coaches who could have accomplished what this coaching staff has done on and off the field the last 2 years. Saban, Meyer, not sure who, if anyone else.

He chose UT because he perceived us as his best option to win football games in his tenure, and how comfortable he felt with the coaches and players. UT is not last decade's UT any longer. bUTch Jones and this team have captured the hearts and minds of a new generation of football players.
