It has been my understanding that the guys behind Crompton have not, to this point anyway, distinguished themselves very well.

He definitely threw some bad balls but there were also less obvious things the coaches alluded to as factors. They said the WR's weren't getting off press coverage.

IMO, there were also two plays where Warren gave a very disappointing effort on balls that were thrown pretty close to where they had to be.

Briscoe was a non-factor for much of the game and I'm pretty sure he was lined up against a Freshman.

Crompton is taking almost all the heat from fans but there was more to it than just him not being accurate with his throws. UCLA was able to effectively take the easier throws away by beating UT's WR's man to man.

Yeah the last drive he LEAD the team on to tie the score shows no leadership, or clutch play by him..
Lets blame all the penalties, fumbling, and blocked punt on him as well. OOPS, lest we forget to blame him for the great defense we showed out their as well, I guess he came up with the defensive scheme to.

You're still not explaining it well. You think THAT was a clutch game? hmy:lol:Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Auburn - THOSE are clutch games. UCLA was a freaking joke of a team that wouldn't even belong on the same field as UT if it weren't for our incredibly inept coaching staff.

I'm sorry but Crompton does have what it takes, you can get mad and say I'm nuts but here's the explanation people. It was his first game really as a starter, would you not be nervous after a 1000 mile flight and then starting in front of a packed rose bowl crowd.

This explains the problem. Apparently Crompton was playing someone in the vicinity of Amarillo, Texas.

Well I don't agree with bashing him every chance we get. He is a kid he will make mistakes. Do you not think he will remember people who down him on Saturdays while he is playing. All i'm saying is get off his back show him some confidence so hopefully he will believe in himself. Because rightnow I don't think he does because all he hears is negativity!
