its not that this is a bad hire, I actually think that Chaney will be an excellent teacher and may be a better recruiter than I originally thought. Its just that several of us were looking for a bigger name, not Gonzales only, but someone with some name recognition. I think part of the allure of Gonzo was sticking it to UM, just like with Drayton.

The only question I have is that the staff is NFL coach heavy. I realize these guys have CF experience but I think for recruiting there needs to be a guy that has been really involved in college recruiting lately and has good ties to local coaches. Obviously, you guys know this better then I so what say you?

Reaves and Kiffin are proven recruiters. I think we'll keep Drayton or hire Gran for RBs, and both of them are proven recruiters. We might even keep Drayton and get Gran. If we get Garner or Blake, there is your home run recruiter. Monte has the name.

No, this was at UT. Unfortunately, we lost. I still had a hell of time. In fact, quite a bit of the game is still hazy. I remember being up by fourteen. Some UT fan next to me wanting to kill Clausen...literally. For three quarters he was wanting to do so. Fourth quarter, Clausen lead a comeback and other Tennessee fans start ripping this guy. It was fun. Reminded me of Tiger Stadium sometimes.haha
