I had someone I knew that had somewhat of the same issues you're dealing with. He said you have some good days and some bad days. And all you can do is put the bad ones behind you and look forward to the next good one.

EDIT: I can't ever get the youtube tags to work right.

EDIT2: Looks to me like Fed1 jumps out in front of LeVoy's van and when he gets out, Fed1 comes up from behind the Van and shoots the first shot. LeVoy seems to be stumbling around holding his side when Fed2 takes the kill shot.

The debate seems to be, was he reaching for his gun, or was he already shot and attempting to put pressure on his wound?

If they shot him before he looked like he was reaching for a weapon, that's straight up murder. I don't care how unreasonable or idiotic these people may or may not be.

If this is truly what happened, then **** those guys. Far be it from me to take up for Bundy and his goons, I personally don't think they're righteous freedom fighters, or loyal defenders of the constitution, or even right in their taking of the building, but they don't deserve death.

Again, this is all based on your interpretation of the video being correct.

Take this for consideration Percy. I don't have a source on this currently, but I read on facebook that LeVoy was known to have an Ankle Holster on his right side with a Revolver most of the time. This would lend to him being right handed. He's reaching on his left side.

Any LEOs want to specify on training and when to shoot, before shots while gun is aimed or any movement related to drawing a weapon constitutes for immediately deadly force?

With about 10 guns pointed at him why was he shot from behind? Why would the ambushing officer creep up so fast and not stay in cover? Looks like a crossfire friendly shooting waiting to happen

It's hard to tell from the video exactly what happened. He does appear to reach for his waistband a couple of times, but it's also hard to see exactly when the first shot was fired.

The cops certainly did look to be spoiling for a fight though.

It's hard to tell if he was shot and reaching towards where he was shot or if he was just reaching to make it look like he had something. I'm guessing the militias figure that he was shot and reaching for the wound and that things are about to get violent..

My take is that these guys were in trouble when they ran after being pulled over and attempted to run the road block. It's clearly in defiance of the police and possibly endangering them a bit. When the person who exits the vehicle doesn't immediately submit, he's probably subject to being shot because the LEs have no way of knowing how much danger they're in from the other people in the car or whether a fire fight is about to break out. That's just the legal side of it.

On the other hand, I think this sort of policing may be more aggressive than necessary and the tactics police use in these situations need to be revisited to prevent unnecessary loss of life. I definitely think that greater restraint could've been used by the officers and that these "resistors" are more or less harmless.
