#OregonUnderAttack

The nation came together after that . Shortly after 9/11 the US was united behind W. He had approval ratings in the 80's. I don't think the true division of America started until W's second term.

It was not only a Left vs Right division during the W years even the GOP was divided. Here is an article where McCain bashed him hard in 2008. Near thee end of W's 2nd term , he was poison.

EXCLUSIVE: McCain lambastes Bush years - Washington Times

Golly gee gandpa, can you tell me what McCain was setting himself up for in 2008?

Still waiting on the hateful one to provide evidence of me saying we should nuke the place if radical Islamic terrorists took it over.

The "hateful one" said your bias shows daily in your post. He did not mention the words nuke or radical Islamic terrorist. Those words came out of your mind ran down your arms through your fingers to the keyboard through Freak's server to VN website.

I will sit here and wait for you to show me stating that GV said we should nuke the place if radical Islamic terrorists took it over. :whistling:

When you pull the race card on me and speak in such a collectivist mindset, you lose a lot of credibility in my mind.

These people below staged an armed protest in Ferguson and you know what the police did about it? Nothing. Do I agree with their cause? Nah. I think Mike Brown is a terrible cause to hang their hat on but they still did it without interference.

Now maybe, just maybe, people have the issues when "protests" are like this and cause major damage to property.

And let's not forget who showed up to protect the peaceful protesters in Ferguson.

Your race baiting collectivist narrative doesn't work when you start looking at individuals like they should be looked at: individually. It breaks down but even collectively, we can say the street goes both ways. I've seen supporters of black lives matter fawning over the idea of the police/the feds going in and violently ending a non-violent protest. It's not just exclusive to the right wing collectivists. Collectivism is a hell of a drug and one I choose to pass up.

Touche on the generalization aspect of my comments. I should have worded my response more carefully.

That being said, the comparison I was drawing was not to the wasn't to the actually riots but the perception of the cause. When a bunch of white folks say they have a problem with how the government handles them they have been afforded a certain amount of respect. The folks from BLM have been berated at every turn and told them there perception of the issues were wrong and racism was not a problem in this country. There is just a different tenor in the reaction to the two cases.

As in Oregon vs Ferguson specifically?

You still can't show me where I said anything different than I said in the beginning.

And furthermore, can't show me anywhere this alleged bias comes from. The words "just look at your posts" translates as "I really can't find anything, but act like it's all over the place."

Nice try on your troll attempt though.

Oh I remember. He was running under the wrong banner.

The GOP was so proud of him during the primaries and the convention. They really loved him at the convention when he picked " lipstick on a pig" as his VP running mate. Then on election day then they turned their back on their war hero as if he were a piece of garbage and the bashing still goes on today on VN.

He gets props from me for his service. That hasn't changed, so bringing that up here doesn't hold any weight with me.

His politics as on the whole are garbage. That hasn't changed either.

Not trolling , you are as biased as LG. The difference , he admits it, you don't.

You have a history of taking the side of these right wing white redneck groups going around waving their guns as if they were Wyatt Earp , going to save the day.

How anyone can defend these groups is beyond me. Because they are members of your beloved right wing, it does not give him the right to go in , take over Government buildings or any other buildings, It does not give them the right to harass the citizens of the community. They are white thugs who broke the law and every single one of them should be in jail. I have zero sympathy for the Bundy Group or any other group like it. We are a better people than to allow this type action go on.

War hero?

He has been given that title by members of the right and left. Deserving of the title could be debated. He did suffer tremendously as a POW.

I have no problem with him being called a war hero.
I do not like the way some bash him. I do not like the way some bash Kerry. Both men served in a very umpopular war. I personally do not think anyone that served in that hellhole should be bashed especially those that get bashed for political reasons.

I do not consider him a war hero but will not and have not bashed him for his service. I have and rightfully so bashed him for his politics and generally being a dirtbag.

Just because someone served they shouldn't be excluded from criticism the rest of their life.

That is a good stance to take. I agree with you on this

Good points. I don't mind him being considered a hero. Im not gonna get hung up on that because that is not for me to decide.

My step father was in that same "hellhole" for years. He respects McCain for that, and in the same step he rips him for his politics.
His take "the only heroes are the ones that didn't come home like the rest of us."

Beecher, my apologies. I had no right to go off like that. I sincerely apologize.

The BLM definition of racism, at least in my experiences with interacting with them on twitter and other social media, is not the definition most people run with and I have been told several several times thay all black people are oppressed in this nation and all white people are oppressors. It's the progressive stack in action. Its honestly the class struggle of Marxism applied to race (and gender but that's not part of this discussion.) And those same people who say that follow it up with statements claiming black people cannot be racist. Is that true for all BLM supporters? Of course not but I've seen enough from leaders like Deray and the totally 100% black guy who totally isn't white Shaun king to know what's at the heart of the movement. I would classify most of them as useful idiots. When it comes to racism in America, do I believe it still exists? Heck yes and it always will. Do I belive that individuals and even some agencies show racist tendencies? You bet. Do I believe we live in a white supremacist capitalist patriarchy? No. That's absolutely asinine.

I'm not sure where you've ever found LG admit his bias. lol at the thought though.

And again, have I defended anything they've done? Care to show me where I'm always slanted towards these uber redneck, whites only types of groups? I think you're getting a bit confused with another poster perhaps?

Everything okay for you? You seem pretty off your game today. Or someone hacked your account.
