#OregonUnderAttack

It was a clear question with a yes or no answer.

Actually, no its not a clear question with a yes or no answer. If I am required to answer yes or no, it necessarily means that I am generalizing the acts of some on all of the supporters.

Equality? Yes I support that. I hold everyone to the same standards. Everyone. No special treatment. That last bit is where the BLM retards don't understand what equality is.

This was the beginning of that exchange. "All BLM folks are stupid." It's an awfully broad statement to make and one I questioned. To which, he reiterated the stereotype he believed true in the form of a question. Therefore it is a question I cannot answer without committing the same logical sin which he was committing.

So my answer is some yes, some no. That, however, seems decidedly unhelpful.

Interesting turn of events now members of the Burns Paiute tribe that originally occupied the land want the occupiers out and called them "a bunch of bullies and little criminals."

"We are exercising our constitutional rights. We won't leave until these lands have been turned over to the their rightful owners," Bundy said. "More than 100 ranchers and farmers used to work this land, which was taken illegally by the federal government."

"To me they are just a bunch of bullies and little criminals coming in here and trying to push us around over here and occupy our aboriginal territories out there where our ancestors are buried," Kennedy said.

He continued to tell the history of his tribe's fight over land. Members of the tribe are descendants of the Wadatika band of northern Paiutes. Their history in the area dates back 9,000 years ago, the tribe says. The ancestors of the Burns Paiutes lived in caves near the shores of lakes in the Northern Great Basin. When the lakes began drying up the tribe had to migrate.

The tribe said it has never ceded its right to the land but received federal recognition in 1868 and signed a treaty with the federal government that requires it to protect the safety of the natives and promised to prosecute any crime or injury perpetrated by any white man upon them.

Fast forward to 1879 after the treaty was signed. The Paiutes say their people were "loaded into wagons and ordered to walk under heavy guard" in knee-deep snow and forced off their land on foot.

"They literally walked our people, children and women off our lands. They had no problem killing us," Kennedy said.

Inside the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge headquarters, Kennedy said there are important official papers that document his tribe's history and his ancestors' existence on the land. That headquarters has been taken over by men from out of state.

The guys are nut bags and I hope like hell they are charged. You can't have crap like this going on without consequences. The cops have thus far handled it differently than other standoffs. We had a armed felony fugitive hiding in an attic here (no hostages) and the cops gave him about 2 hours and then they bulldozed the house to force him out. It was a black teen hiding in the attic and not a bunch of patriots, though.

To be fair the house was probably not up to code and on the road to condemnation so they killed two birds with one stone.

Listen, the last 16 years haven't been shining moments for the US Presidency. I haven't been impressed by Obama in many respects, but I think he gets far too much of the blame. Just as I think that Bush Jr. was not a good president and he is still catching the blame.

I can't speak for everyone, but most people that I know, myself included, are far better off today than they were in 2008. Could it be better, hell yeah. But it's not the gloom and doom that many like to blame on Obama.

Six minutes until the first deflection.

No speed records being broken here.

I agreed with him, though. She made a mistake because she believed the Bush administration. Its hard really to blame anyone for that. Bush did a great job I thought in the first two or three weeks after the attack, he really did.

After that I don't know exactly what the F happened.

Hey, he and his puppetmaster Cheney fooled her, too.

I think it's funny how quick you are to defend Democrats with the excuse of ignorance.

Obama is the smartest guy ever but never knows s**t when it matters. He finds out about it in the newspaper, for example.

Hillary is SOS but it too stupid to discern what is classified material. She couldn't do her own research on the Iraq war.

The entire culture with the Democrats is excuse driven.

I've heard that on too. Dude is crazy evil.

Hey, he and his puppetmaster Cheney fooled her, too.

Further proof she's naive and unqualified for the office of president, but you already know that. What about all the yellow cake that was removed from Iraq and shipped to Canada? Obama is and always will be the worst ever!

These idiots are still there. Their occupation is costing the state of Oregon $100,000 per week.

Oregon's governor wants feds to end occupation | National News - Home

You know it's quite the simple solution.

Just leave. Don't give them the press they want and don't even acknowledge their presence save maybe one officer or so guiding folks away from the scene. And when spring/summer rolls around when the firefighters need the structure, just let them stroll in and take their place. If it's as "non-violent" as they claim, they wouldn't stop them from coming in.

It doesn't have to cost a hundred grand a week. That's just Oregon overreacting to this.

Per this aticle it is not totally peaceful.

The Harney County sheriff has accused the protesters of intimidating and harassing local residents and federal employees, and two men were arrested last week for stealing a U.S. Fish and Wildlife vehicle and possessing a firearm as a felon

It's a very simple solution Gramps. Again, have Oregon and the feds walk away as if nothing happened. Maybe put one patrolman out in front with orders to steer people away, but not using force to do so. And in the spring (if they are still there after losing their media outlet), send in one single unarmed negotiator as well as a TV crew to request they move on in order for the firefighters to set up camp. And if they say no, it's very simple.

"Do you realize your actions are now affecting the lives of thousands of residents that will have their homes burned if we can't find a place for these wildfire crews to set up camp? I mean, if you want to stay, perhaps we could find another place for them to go, but their reaction times are seriously degraded if they can't be in this particular spot."

Of course they will go off about the government affecting the lives of so many. And the answer to that is simple...

"I understand and even agree with you to an extent. But by being here and occupying this facility and denying these firefighters a place to stay, you will now affect the lives of those very same people. And in turn, have become no better than the government in that regard."

And watch the blank stares as they stumble for an answer.
