Quit whistling and go beat USC would ya....:good!:

We will put a smack on them for you. That game is huge to us for several reasons. I don't think their defense is going to have an answer for us like last year. We have more improvements to make though. This was a huge step for us because we have laid some eggs before on the road. We need to keep winning on the road and play up to our potential. Considering what is at stake recruiting wise alone, with SC short on schollys, this game is huge.

james will have a career day. the 72 yarder against us will become a thing of the past when they play USC

Actually it took Aliotti almost two quarters to slow it down. The guys weren't lining up right, once they did the run game was non-existent. Partly due to the passing game not keeping us honest. Considering I know my team better than you do I am inclined to disagree. I also have one vol fan agree with me and I will get more imo. Watch the game again.....my defense is super aggressive and blitz from everywhere, you didn't see that early on. They wanted to see what you were going to throw at us. They had an idea but when you don't see it all the time, you will give up yards. They did but the defense still never gave up any many points. Compare the first half to the second half (or just the 3rd quarter).......the first half was the defense playing chess against your offense while the Offense got their mojo going. Once the offense got it going we started sending them more and took some chances.

Don't you have a Portland State Board to go troll.

I am not trolling or being rude.

I used to live in Dallas, Oregon.......hated it but I was also young. Do you work in Salem?

eta.....don't even know if they do have a board. I like their campus though....downtown portland. Btw.....we should cover the spread. Your welcome...

Art said that we had a prayer in our locker for the homeless without shelter. At first I didn't like Dooley, but now my God he is a great man. He reminds me a lot of Coach Fulmer.

According to Dan Patrick, Oregon looked at the game film and checked out our defensive sets/philosophy.

Doubt it had any impact on the game, but interesting to say the least.

Of course it had some effect on the game -- it was the equivalent of giving both teams an extra halftime to make adjustments. One team looked like they took much better advantage of that than the other.

What I was going for, is it didn't have an impact on the end result. I think, as has been stated numerous times, depth was the reason for the loss.

I don't know if there is a rule against it though? You'd think we'd have done the same if there wasn't.

Except he is about half the size right? haha. But Jokes aside, that's awesome if they did that. We can all go home and change into dry clothes, but the homeless cannot. I wish ESPN would quit with the "washing habits" crap and pick this story up.

It is an interesting topic to say the least. But I definately agree that it had no outcome on the game.

Seriously. Maybe WesRucker could tweet something about it? Bruce Feldman picks up his tweets pretty regularly.

Yeah these are all good kids that like to have a good time. The thing about Minor was minor, but what can you do with a slow news day?

Of course it affected the game. They were able to make adjustments faster. As far as I know there isn't always an hour and a half delay 6 minutes into the first half(sarcasm).

And don't forget that UT never saw them on offense so not much they could do there.

And ut was gashing them from the start so not much to look at and adjust.

And I do think there is a rule against that. Hard to prove I imagine.

I spoke with Beanie after the game and he said that alot of the players were stiff (No homo) because they did not get a proper warm-up.

possible. you would think there would be a rule against that?

I always understood that it was illegal. They can do it in the pros. I remember some football player, can't remember his name, was in a media class of mine years ago and somebody says that college teams should quickly access video at halftime to look at formations and he quickly pointed out that that was illegal. Hmmm....

Considering Oregon had not run one offensive play before the rain delay they sure waited to the last minute to put in an offensive gameplan.

About the only adjustment Oregon could have made was adjusting to how to attack the unbalanced line we were throwing at them on offense. Although not to the same detail, that's probably something that could have been corrected on the sideline.

:cray::eek:hmy:

Please, let's not hurt the new coach's credibility by comparing him to Fulmer. I'm sure Coach Dooley is already aware of the dangers of going to Krispy Kreme.

As to the intermission, no doubt it helped Oregon to make adjustments but let's face it, the VOLS put up a good fight for the first half and we already know our weaknesses in depth. Oregon was just too much for us this year. We'll be back, give us some time.

The thoughts of an upset certainly had us all going though. It will be interesting to see if anybody can corral Oregon's offense this year.
