i think that we are 13 point underdogs to a fast team, bad weather is a good thing.....especially with our great running backs and offensive line

it rains 200+ days out of year in Oregon. Washington and Oregon teams are used to it. and rain didn't stop Oregon from dropping 650 yards on USC last year.

If it cools things down, it hurts because SEC teams are by and large much better conditioned for the humidity and hydration issues caused by hot humid days.

It doesn't hurt our chances, thats for sure.

Adds another obstacle for Oregon to hurdle in the passing game, and certainly in the option exchanges. I don't think its going to be a huge factor, but all it takes is one mistake and Wilcox makes it 3-0!

sorry but everytime I think of the rain I can't help but think of Clausen in 2002 against UF. Don't like to hear UT and rain in the same sentence

It looks like it's going to be scattered showers, not necessarily a downpour. It'll also be hot.

Looks like it might be a humid and muggy day.

40% chance of scattered t-storms doesnt = the forecast calls for rain. its not going to rain, this thread is irrelevant

Might not rain, but the temps will be mid 80's with humidity up around 80%, that will be muugeeee.

Our OL? OL? In case you forget, our OL ATM is prob among the least experienced in the SEC, maybe even the country. They may have looked great against Martin, but things WILL be different in another 48 hours.

This is what I'm hoping for. Keep all the moisture in the air, but keep it hot. Here's hoping the rain stays away.

On a side note, it's kinda sad that we're begging for the weather to help us out. Oh well. C'est la vie.

I really hope it doesn't rain... I am afraid it will effect the attendance & overall mood of the crowd?

The forecast says it's going to rain- does that help?

I believe it does. We were already planning to run the ball alot with the injuries to jones and Moore. With that been said, does wet turf and sloppy conditions hurt oregons spread option? In my opinion it's easy to simply hand the ball of in wet conditions than it is to read option it with wet hands.

Perhaps I'm over analyzing it. Weigh in!
What weatherman do you trust enough to get tomorrow's forecast correct, let alone Saturday night at 7pm?

Actually, not as much as you'd think. I don't know the numbers, but I think it's rained on game day about 2 or 3 times in the last 6-8 years.

I do think the advantage goes to the offense in rainy conditions.

I see it is now up to 60% chance of rain. We will play anyway. Hopefully the blue hairs who will not come out even in a heavy dew will give their tickets to someone who will use them and be loud and rowdy.

If it rains then we should go to a pirate-led Tx Tech style offense just until the rain ceases.
