Oregon Fans, We Know You're Nervous

Why can't the fans be overconfident? Chip Kelly is getting paid the seven figures to keep our team well grounded in reality.

He's seems to do a pretty decent job of that.

Will you please bring what is pictured in your avatar with you....:salute:

Hell yeah I'm nervous.

1. We have a high ranking, and a target on our backs.
2. Tennessee is still an unknown.
3. Neyland is gnarly, and a tough place to play.
4. Tennessee has a lot of talent - if Dooley is a half decent coach they'll be tough to beat.
5. Justin Wilcox was the best kept secret in college football for the past few years, and i'm pissed an SEC team got a great Oregon alum as their DC.
5. SEC fans love football more than anything in the world, and it makes them irrational - like a love-sick teenage girl on her period. If Tennessee wins, every team-SEC fan will use it as concrete proof that the SEC is superior to the Pac-10, the West is Coast sucks, everyone out here is gay, blah blah blah. I actually enjoy and respect SEC football, but the fans down there care just a little too much it's borderline creepy.

What have the mighty Ducks ever won? How many NC's, How many PAC 10 Championships? I know they've won the Fulmer Cup or two,but historically they are the Gajaw Bulldogs of the West. Always (or at least the last 5-10years,very limited history) highly rated and never get it done!!! So, scared or not they better not sleep on the Vols, or the atmosphere, the fans and our team will eat them alive!!! GO VOLS ---- THE DUCKS!!!

Extremely well thought out, honest post; however, calling us creepy probably wasn't the right way to go there...could've went with "it's borderline item"

Items
1. Insane-we know we're crazy about football
2. Awesome-well yes it is, actually it's not borderline awesome it just is awesome
3. Obsession-hell yes we are, it's the only thing we can all unite for no matter what
4. a Religion-once a week for several months straight, most people don't go to church that often

any other ideas?

Actig like SEC fans need this win to justify that the SEC makes the PAC 10 look like the WAC is senseless. The PAC 10 has blown for decades. USC made it vogue, but the league sucks.

We don't do it well because qe don't have to very often. Most aren't silly enough to ask the question. Those who do are dismissed as unworthy of response, and rightfully so.

WTF are you some kind of fricking professor? Give the guy a break ,guess what this is a VOL message board its ok to think the travel, the heat the 100,000 fans might even the playing field. I will never say a PAC 10-11 whatever the f--- they are now team will ever be a favorite at night in Neyland. They have to show me!!! Your a loser (15000000000 posts) don't talk down to anyone, because anyone that has time for that many posts, obviously lives in their moms basement on some type of disability!! GO VOLS F--- THE DUCKS!!!!!

PhD student, actually. I've been around a few years, so numbers accumulate. The original point of contention was i said Oregon had a better team on paper, and he asked which paper when they are a consensus top 15 team. We hashed it out on our own, thanks.

Also, go stick a fork in a light socket.

Upon closer review Oregon benefited from 5 turnovers. Everything went the Ducks way in Q1. Yes, the piled up yds, but New Mexico's back was broken. I noticed the NEW QB only threw 2 TDs and an interception.

Beating. Where do we find these fans?
There may be losses at Neyland this year, but there definitely will not be any legendary beatings.
