Didnt you guys play Boise St last year?
Yup and they beat us by 9 points at Boise. With recruits almost all SEC teams wouldn't touch. So the recruiting rankings mean nothing really. And as Dooley all time head coaching record is below 500 let's hope he can do something with yours.

That my point fool you are over looking UT based on your 1st game..which was a team that was 1-11 last year. Yet you seem to think that OU players are faster and more superior to the entire UT roster. You are an idiot

It's UO not OU btw, and talent and depth wise, no you don't match up from D to 0. And even ST. Your advantage this Sat is simply the stadium. Take that away and it's a gimme.

Your quarterback is unproven...Has this crossed your mind? We will find out about the OL/DL matchups on saturday. You are greatly underestimating us...I hope your players are as well

Our offense is more dynamic and up tempo than any sec team I have seen recently. Our Oregon team may be smaller in size but we don't lumber around and hit people, we fly to the ball faster than any team in the country. Their isn't one group of players that we have that isn't considered fast for their position. The only way Tennessee could compete with us, is to overmatch us with tremendous size and run us over. I don't see that happening.

I agree - I always thought Percy Harvin was really slow

What about when we have Kenjon Barner lined up at wr and lamichael james in the back field. We have weapons all over the field and two deep in most positions. Your tennessee inexperienced bunch is going to have their hands full. Not to mention our up tempo offense will keep your tired defense on the field while we are subbing players (when needed) immediately after the play is over while the tennessee players are recovering from the previous play and trying to get back to their positions before the snap.

Both running backs are weapons, the TE, and Thomas. None of your receivers have done anything-or are any kind of NFL prospect. This doesn't mean they are not good college players, but when was the last time an Oregon receiver has put up big numbers? Pretty sure Wilcox knows who your weapons are. Plus, we have one of the smartest MLB's in the country, and 2 very good DE's and a decent secondary with a standout player (Jackson), and a CB that may or may not be insane (Gordon). TN is not un-athletic on defense-not any less than Boise.

I hope all of Gordon's demons take over tomorrow...would be scarry as he!! when a wr lines up and sees Gordon's red eyes..lol

Funny-this is what Cal thought. Neyland changes a lot-I've seen it on here this week, but a quiet frenzy has been building for this game. It's gonna be a great day tomorrow-5 hours of so of tailgating, sun dresses in scores, a night game against a Pac 10 team. This fan base has rallied around this team, and Dooley especially. Most people who are not within this circle realize this, but it's happened. I don't know how that translates to the field, or if TN's offense and defense is well versed enoughed in our schemes to sustain drives or make stops, but it gives us hope.

All I know is I was there for the Cal game, and they caved due to the noise-and that game kicked off at 3:30. And yes, I know we lost to UCLA last year, but this team to me is different. I don't have much to base that on, but Oregon fans (and the media) saying that TN has no talent is ignorant. They have talent. No depth, but there is talent, and all we are missing is Jones.

Come on. For UO the situation is difficult, not the opponent. If this game was on a neutral field you'd get your a** handed to you. You have your stadium, great. Make it work. You have a coach who has yet to prove he can win. What was his record at LT his last year, 4-8? Puh-leese. :whistling:

He did a lot better against Boise than you did.

What set the tone for the Cal game was opening kick off when their strongest player..I believe he was a TE was knocked out cold on the return..

If Oregon fans don't think TN's players are not going to be jacked up for this game they are crazy. Did anyone see Walker last week before going out for the coin toss-dude looked loco-was jumping up and down like a madman-and he's one of the mild mannered ones. Someone needs to put Gordon in a padded room before kickoff so he doesn't hurt himself.

Their arrogance has finally come out. Something similar happened a few years back-that's all I can say. Personally, the thought that the crowd will have no impact on the game (their opinion) is almost insulting. It's over 103,000-and it ain't a Michigan 103,000. It's an SEC 103,000. Say what you want, Oregon, but you have not seen anything like it-ever.

i wouldn't get too upset, duck fans who follow all CFB aren't dismissing UT as a gimme win. it will be a battle.

I gotta get me a Gordon jersey. He has just become my favorite player.:superman:

A kid named Jonathan Crompton came out strong and led his team to a 63-7 victory in the first game last year. He threw more touchdowns that day than he did the whole previous season. The next week he came out and stunk it up against a team that should not have been able to win on paper.

Sound familiar? That first week means nothing.

True, but I thought we looked better last week than we did last year in the opener. Despite the 63-7 score the offense made a lot of mistakes in that game-not so much last week.

A lot. They are primarily an older team-but after looking at their classes in rivals I can't find a receiver that scares me. Now, their running backs-they scare me. Their D-line does not appear to be all that big, but they seem to have fast linebackers. TN's o-line needs to suck it up, not act young and maul. All of those guys have talent-they need to let it out.

Our receivers shouldn't scare you. We have never had a GREAT receiving group, but they will be able to block well. Don't worry about getting burned by our receivers. That isn't what we do.
