we went and fought off the f'in mexicans at the Alamo - outnumbered anywhere from a good 25 to 1, yet we don't want to go play a damn football game in the hipster state.

wtf is going on here?

Hey Mr Redskin, you were there with me on Sept 15. I am trying to remember...that is actually a natural grass field isn't it? I called it a turf earlier but I may be wrong on that.

You remember # 6...they call him black mamba. They will absolutely beat the Vols like a red-headed step child. Them cheerleaders will be going that little left butt cheek crunch about 80 times.

I want to see the Vols play against Da'rick Rogers next year. How about that instead?

You know...if they could do it all again, I bet those guys in the Alamo wish they had stayed home on the porch.

hell nah. they had pride. once inch back to go a mile forward, right? That battle won the Revolution for Texas a month later.

and i would much rather watch UT lose to O than to play TTU. just another avenue to watch their cheerleaders, again :)

all UT has to do is to HIT them. knock them down a few times and they'll get slower. slow them down, we win the game.

Some of you guys are sad. The SEC plays enough weak OOC games. If this conference wants to claim to be the best, its members have to keep playing big non conference games.

I agree we shouldn't hide from anyone, but we haven't been very good against the PAC12. We couldn't beat a horrible UCLA team and got destroyed by Oregon at home. Why do we schedule games like Oregon and Oklahoma when we have to play Florida, Georgia and Alabama on top of those games. Makes no sense.

Because we are setting ourselves up for our run to the 2014 NC baby!

Get ourselves back on the map next year by playing strong teams. Start 2014 in the top 5-10. SEC Champs....National Champs! Tennessee will book end the BCS era with NC's.

Hah! I figured that out all on my own!

Any Questions?

We won't improve much by continually playing nobodies and cupcakes.. we need to be baptized by fire!

We won't get any better by getting blown out by a much better team in front of the whole nation either. It's not like we have to play nothing but teams like UTM, Akron or Ga State, but we can still play OOC games against teams like Cincy and NC St. There actually is a middle ground in all of this. The sad reality right now is that UT has no business on the field with the likes of Oregon or Oklahoma.

Yes, middle ground is what I seek.

While we were out there, the Washington women beat Oregon at something. The headline in the newspaper read...

'Husky Women Squash Ducks!'

I told my wife that we would go to Oregon for the game in 13. Anyone else planning on making the trip?

I admit to being a puss on this one...they get the ball out on the edge faster than anyone i've ever seen in college football. It is just a horrible match-up for us.

I am ok I guess with the Oklahoma series.

Personally, I vote to play Austin Peay four times a year until we get back in the top-20.

I will remind you that they are ranked in the top 5.....just like Georgia.

Can't believe some of the comments in this thread.

Our Defense will be settled in by that time next year. All these missed assignments were expected before the season began because of the new scheme. The D can only get better, and it will.

As for the offensive concerns, with the experience we'll be bringing back on the O-line alone, it's not hard to imagine UT going up there and winning that game.

Good grief. What would half you guys do if we somehow made it to a decent bowl game this year? Just not show up because we're not where you want us to be as a program?
