Slice I know that SBV being absent + your posts + mods leaving Gruden thread open there is still an undercurrent. Honestly I can't do it anymore though so my only questions for you directly are what are the odds on Strong.

I'm disappointed if Gruden is really off the board. Did Hart screw the pooch, Slice?

I'm not big on Strong. I don't feel he's proven enough, and he lost some questionable games this year. Could he actually get big time recruits to come here? His is just not a name I see as turning lots of heads.

Fisher has had some nice recruiting classes and has been okay on the field, but I don't feel he's a big money coach. He'd probably want more than he's worth. Plus his results are misleading as he's recruiting to FSU and playing in a weak conference. Could he have the same results at another school? Big question mark IMO.

I think Gruden's rock star status helps us rebuild and rebuild quickly. All the other names I've heard mentioned, they just don't inspire that confidence. They may or may not be great coaches, but we need a great coach and a great recruiter. We need someone who will make us relevant again. My problem is, I want to be relevant right away, and I don't think any coach but Gruden brings that. And by right away, I mean comes in and gets 2-3 big time recruits by NSD. We need some game changers.

DD, Strong has a huge chip on his shoulder for being passed over. He's a F/N rock star waiting to happen.

He's on the rise with us. The problem is Auburn is after him too.

The longer the Gru thing drags out the harder it's going to get to land a winner.

Is Stoops for sure out? No way Hart has been d**king around for two +weeks to get Jimbo Fisher. I'm sorry, but if that's the case fire the dude now.

FL wasn't ready for him nor him they. He's raw even now but he's proving himself. IMO it's about recruiting and success - together. A lot of that is timing. He's got both right now.
