My in-laws went on one several years ago, with my wife's sister. Her sister had someone come up and put a monkey on her, then demanded $20 for holding it. Another person told them they could get in trouble if they didn't pay. I would've gotten in trouble probably.

Wish I could have been more helpful but I did not organize the trip and I was overserved a couple of nights.

Yeah, stayed at one of those and I'm not sure I was ever more than 100 yards from the resort other than to/from airport.

I was in Cancun last January for the country music festival. We went on a tour to the Mayan temples and everywhere we stopped someone was offering a free tequila tasting.


I got pretty good at saying “No bebo alcohol gracias por la oferta.”
