I did. I was very bummed to read that. I love that place. I hadn't been in awhile though. Any word if they plan to reopen? We used to go alot more when my son was little he liked to see the animals and feed them before going to eat ourselves. I loved their smoked/grilled meatloaf.

My brothers are adopted.
Bro 1 has not seen Bro 2 in 5 years.
I see them both but they never see each other.
Bro 1 is the most genuine and generous MFer ever made. He worked his ass off to be where he is. He’s put us up in his house taken us on his boat and paid for everything. Yesterday #2 and family went to the city. They were leaving at 4 am this morning to go to Niagara Falls. I’m not leaving till Saturday. Bro 1 and I were going out fishing one more time (to act like adult children as we had taken the kids on 3 fishing trips and put them on big fish. We were high and stupid…that was the plan. Not kid friendly.) the red women and i went on a date. When we got back at 10 pm nephew 3 asked if we were fishing. I told him that Bro 1 and I were but his dad was not going. Bro 2s wife said that the boys could still go to which I said adults only. She instantly blew a gasket and screamed at everyone because we wanted adult time and would not babysit her kids. They packed their **** and left. They are extremely mad at me.
ITS NOT MY BOAT!!!!!!

Now Bro 1 says he never wants them in his house or on our vacations again. And the worst is I’ve spent 10 years repairing the relationship with Bro 2 because of a previous issue with his wife on a vacation.

We will see how this plays out over time but the point is….

sometimes family sucks.

I know what you are saying. My brother's wife is batshit crazy. They have a 3 year old that we've seen a couple of times. She doesn't allow me, WTF, or even my mom to stop by their house.

They had tree damage (and lost water) during the last storm and she yelled at my son for dropping off a chainsaw and bottle waters.

WTF's sisters make horrible decisions with men but at least they are decent people...

Sometimes you just have to accept that crazy people are crazy. like I said, I knew you could sympathize.

SIL sounds like a real winner. I'm sorry that they tried so hard to screw up a great week. Enjoy your last day! Sounds like it might be more relaxing...

I have 6 bothers and a sister. Two (2!) of them are pretty much sane. The rest........

I love making the people I love uncomfortable. This morning when I left Bro 1s house I hugged him and told him i love him. He’s not a touchy felly kinda guy. He said “you too….the love thing”. His wife said “ wow, that was awesome….I may cry”.

The thing is, I do love this dude. I could not love him any more if he was born to us as opposed to adopted.
