Orangeslice13, a blessing to those around him…..Again

New rankings are out and we are now wrestling the state #2. In his class.

I told P tonight he has nothing to lose in this match. He's not supposed to win which gives him a lot of freedom to go on the attack. I'm convinced P can beat this guy, he just has to believe.

Best of luck to him.

Tell him to whoop his arse!

Observing Torah is not "earning salvation"
Observing Torah is not "a heavy burden"
Observing Torah Is "the sheep hearing His voice, and following Him"
Observing Torah is showing your love for YHVH and Yeshua.

I'm I think I'm slowly returning to faith. I've been out for more than a year but lost faith long before that. I know we've talked some before slice but I've forgotten, what faith do you follow? I've always had a soft spot for people of Jewish faith, even taught myself how to say Deuteronomy 6:4 in Hebrew, but that was a long time ago.

I have a good friend I grew up with who is Jewish. She lives in California now, but we keep in touch weekly. We both answer questions and ask questions to each other concerning Jewish/Christian beliefs. She has helped me a lot when I needed to know something. Though there are disagreements, I enjoy having a friend I can talk to about the differences and similarities of our beliefs.

I'm a Mesanic Jew.
The easiest way to say it is I follow Yeshua the way his 12 would have.
I observe Torah and reject all the pagan add ons.

I agree with most of that, the ones I don't are just semantics really. I know this may be a bit out of left field but what's your feelings on the trinity? I know the word never appears in the bible and was mainly a council of Nicaea thing.

I was raised Pentecostal (crazy bunch of folks I know) so I was always taught oneness.

I don't believe in a triune god
There is one G-d. The Father.
The Son, Yeshua, is Devine but not the Father.
Begotten of the Father but not the father.
And the "Holy Spirit" is simply the Father. As the Father is spirit.

It's funny that people want to be like the pagans and have a 3 part god. They do so by ignoring the words of Yeshua who said over and over the he wasn't the Father.

For anyone else wanting to jump in on this, be prepared to defend your position with complete scripture and not single vs taken out of context.

Thanks :hi:
I've always wondered what people of Jewish faith thought about the trinity.

This is very close to what I believe or at least was taught. I was taught Jesus and God are the same. That God robed himself in human flesh and came to earth to be the perfect sacrifice for our sins. To my knowledge the phrase 'God the Father' is never actually mentioned in the bible, at least in that particular phrasing.

I ask those who believe that Jesus is G-d to read Revaluation ch5 and defend their position.

So. Jesus takes the scroll from himself and opens it. Praises himself before sitting down beside himself at his own right hand.
Seems legitimate

Thanks too you as well
To be fair though my Jewish family thinks I'm nuts
I'm wearing them down though.
There is no doubt that Yeshua is our Messiah to the glory of YHVH!!!!!

Don't be a stranger

The whole book of revelation is kinda tripy. I don't begin to claim to understand it or its meaning. I don't say that to discredit anything in it. I never got bent out of shape over the trinity, godhead or whatever people want to call it. To me it's not a salvation issue. I never believed in a trinity though. And I do believe that biblically you should be baptized by full submersion, in Jesus name. No one in the bible was ever baptized in the titles of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost.

Agree that it's not a Salvation issue.

As a Jew I'm big on observation of Torah. That's not a salvation issue either in my opinion.

However..........if you love and want to please G-d, does it not make since to follow His play book?

The one thing I hear Christians say that jumps up and down on my nerves is "freedom in Christ".
"Freedom in Christ" is a lie from the gates of Hell and it smells like smoke.

This is how I view Yeshua Vs the way a lot of people view Jesus.

That's different. As in my friend doesn't believe Jesus has been born yet. I have a question, just out of curiosity. I notice when you type God you type G_D. Is there a reason for that by your beliefs? I mean no offense by it, just wondering.

The term god. Comes from the pagans and is pronounced closer to gawd. We don't type the vowles in the name of YHVH. There are many reasons for it but an extreme oversimplification is respect. For those same reasons we leave out the vowles in G-d. It also leaves no doubt about who we are speaking.

Thanks. I figured it was something along those lines, but just always wondered.

So, do you have freedom in Christ?

Ezekiel 22: 23-....

23 Again the word of the Lord came to me: 24 “Son of man, say to the land, ‘You are a land that has not been cleansed or rained on in the day of wrath.’ 25 There is a conspiracy of her princes within her like a roaring lion tearing its prey; they devour people, take treasures and precious things and make many widows within her. 26 Her priests do violence to my Torah and profane my holy things; they do not distinguish between the holy and the common; they teach that there is no difference between the unclean and the clean; and they shut their eyes to the keeping of my Sabbaths, so that I am profaned among them. 27 Her officials within her are like wolves tearing their prey; they shed blood and kill people to make unjust gain. 28 Her prophets whitewash these deeds for them by false visions and lying divinations. They say, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says’—when the Lord has not spoken. 29 The people of the land practice extortion and commit robbery; they oppress the poor and needy and mistreat the foreigner, denying them justice.

No you do not.

Yeshua did away with your condemnation. But the Torah prevails as a sign for those who love YHVH.

Romans 8: 1-8

There is therefore no condemnation for those who are in Yeshua , 2 because through Yeshua the Torah of the Spirit who gives life has set you[a] free from the law of sin and death. 3 For what the Torah was powerless to do because it was weakened by the flesh, God did by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh to be a sin offering.[c] And so he condemned sin in the flesh, 4 in order that the righteous requirement of the Torah might be fully met in us, who do not live according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.

5 Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires. 6 The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace. 7 The mind governed by the flesh is hostile to God; it does not submit to God’s Torah, nor can it do so. 8 Those who are in the realm of the flesh cannot please God.
