Orangeslice13, a blessing to those around him…..Again

Christ fulfilled the law, not replaced it. Lost people are still under the curse of the law. They will be judged according to the law that they break.
Christ's righteousness is imputed to the believer. The believers sin is therefore imputed to Christ which he paid for on the cross.
If you are going to accuse me of something, at least get it right...😁
Has heaven and earth passed away?

Since you believe that Christ replaced the law, do you also think the Bible replaces Christ?
And I believe that the written word of God is about the living Word of God (Jesus). It's as authoritive as God because it is from God. As a matter of fact I believe it was originally inspired by God, and perfectly preserved by God and he used man to do it if you want to know what I believe about the subject. I won't beat around the bush or mince words about it! It doesn't need to be revised or rejected, it needs to be reread!! It's the final authority.
The problem is we study mans word more than Gods word.

I agree. But the first bible was????? I see man’s words got injected when they added to scripture and also took away Books from it

Christ didn’t fulfill every function of the law. There is no condemnation for those in Union with Messiah. However the definition of sin still applies.
Messiah didn’t suddenly make a new list.
Messiah isn’t your sabbath rest. He’s also not your adulterous behavior or your murder. The law still defines sin. If you want to boast in your rebellion to G-d by declaring some violations of the law no longer sinful then that is on you. I hope you don’t hear those awful words on judgment day “depart you who practice lawlessness, I don’t know you”.

As for me and my house we will serve the same G-d of yesterday, today and forever......and His Messiah, Whom He sent.

Edit: to be clear I mean “you” in the general sense not “you” specifically. If I meant you I’d use your name.

Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? God forbid! I'm not saying that it is not useful or profitable, but that it has no bearing whatsoever on the children of Gods salvation since becoming saved.
Let's look at the law for a few minutes.
1: the moral law
That defines what sin is essentially. Which Christ lived perfectly which no one else has ever or will ever do.
2: the ceremonial law
That is what Christ fulfilled with his blood sacrifice. Which now isn't needed whatsoever for the children of God except for study and witnessing purposes.
3: the dietary law
Which is very beneficial to man and his health. And might I add that Christ kept and perfectly observed just as he did the above mentioned laws.

All of these laws, over six hundred of them were given to show man that he is a sinner and is indeed in need of a Savior!
There are prophecies yet to be fulfilled concerning his second coming and end times that will be fulfilled in exact detail just as the others were concerning his first coming.

What do you think it was?
What books were included?
Do you think it was inspired?
The collection of the books that we have a copy of today oversaw by the early church. The early church didn't always have all the whole canon of scriptures but today we do. That's why there were sign gifts in those days because it was an infant church. Read 1st Corinthians chapter 14. But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.
That which is perfect is the Canon of scriptures.

I would think that would be Christ

His sheep hear his voice and they follow.
He says that many that think they are his sheep will be cast out.
If you reject the word of G-d as unnecessary because you got a get out of hell free card then are you his sheep?

The way is narrow and few find it.

We shall see

We sure will. I'm gonna stick to being a Bible believing Christian and take my chances living by the book! I'm trusting wholly by faith in the God of the Bible and the sacrifice that was made on Calvary to be sufficient for my sins!!

23 And the word of the Lord came to me, saying, 24 “Son of man, say to her, ‘You are a land that is not cleansed or rained on in the day of indignation.’ 25 There is a conspiracy of her prophets in her midst like a roaring lion tearing the prey. They have devoured lives; they have taken treasure and precious things; they have made many widows in the midst of her. 26 Her priests have done violence to My law and have profaned My holy things; they have made no distinction between the holy and the profane, and they have not taught the difference between the unclean and the clean; and they hide their eyes from My sabbaths, and I am profaned among them.

Humm This is a religion who’s claiming to be of G-d but doesn’t respect his ways.

The fact of the matter is we can’t agree in totality and never will. Baptist or any other denomination can’t even totally agree with each other much less any other denominations. That is why when someone says I’m a bible believing Christian. It falls on deaf ears mostly. We for the most part believe our own perception of it.

And just to be clear, I have never preached that a saved man can live in sin and get by. Have you ever read about the chastening hand of God?
