This will be our first time attending the Orange & White Spring Game. Game time is 2pm. People that have attended in the past, what time do people get lined up to get into the stadium? Also, what time do pre-game festivities begin like meeting players/coaches? Also any do's and don't's are appreciate as well!

How early I get there depends on weather. If calling for rain or really cold weather not as many people show up. If good weather, I get there 30 min before gates open. Basically if it is good weather I would get there 2 hours before game.

If you plan to go to pregame festivities, choose one position group that you'd like to visit and go strait to their line when the gates open. You will not have time for multiple position groups. Coach Jone's line was ridiculously long, and I heard some people waited in his line didn't get to meet him. I got there like 5 hours before the gates opened for autographs, and I only got the wide receiver groups' autographs.

Regardless, it is worth the trip just for the experience of walking onto Sheilds Watkins Field. I even threw a touchdown pass to my nephew and he spiked the ball in the Cheggarboards!

(Although, I just thought-I wonder if they will move the autograph session back to the practice field with all of the issues they've had with field maintenance??)

The field is slippery so try not to fall

Last year I showed up late bc of weather concerns. Plain and simple advice is just show up early. Like really early. 2 years ago when I saw the line for fan day it was pretty much backed up all the way past TBA. If that makes sense.(It was packed). If you want to go to fan day, I'd go maybe 4 or 5 hours before hand. If you want really really good seats, show up as the gates open or like 30 mins before if you wanna be safe. You'll get decent seats regardless though, even if you come right at the start of the game.

sounds like with all the injuries AGAIN this spring, 11 will be out, we will be thin in several positions.... seems like the most consistently injury prone team in a long time....

Most of those are from post season surgeries to correct last seasons injuries, bumps and bruises, they were going to be out of spring practice before the bowl game was even played...

I have attended in the past, and I'm planning on being there this year, but I don't have a schedule of events, either. One time they had the player meet and greet somewhere other that at Neyland. I would suggest going to that.

Jump higher Vols.

This will be my wife and I's first spring game as well.....trekking down from Columbus, Ohio.

We had a deal last year...I had to miss the Outback Bowl because she donated a kidney to a stranger two days before Christmas so she promised I could go to the spring game plus any post season games next year (even if we take it all the way to the championship :) )
