Orange & White Game Thread

Thank your lucky stars.

all that being said, i still stand by original statement, which somehow has no substance. Taylor has done nothing to show he's going to be a dependable starting wide receiver. maybe he can prove me wrong. when you start explaining how taylor has shown signs of being a dependable good receiver, i'll be glad to pay attention.

I give him the benefit of the doubt. I don't expect a sophomore to show me that he is a stud when he is playing behind a first round draft pick and two seniors that may also have NFL futures. He may never be even an adequate WR, but to date I don't see how judgement can be passed.

Again, Brad Cottam gets so much praise on this board. He did absolutely nothing his first two years. Honestly, he didn't do anything at all until the second half of his junior year.

that's only slightly different than what i originally said. i admitted he might make it, i just pointed out he hasn't shown anything yet and you bashed me.

Maybe not, but they were among the most productive. It's hard to find playing time when you're behind a WR having on of the best seasons in UT history and two Seniors. Some guys don't come out and own the world in their first two seasons. One such player is Brad Cottam. I don't see anyone throwing him under the bus for his drops against Cal. Instead, he's held in esteem for some reason.

I don't hold Brad Cottom in high esteem at all. Our tight ends have been uderproductive since Witten left.

Kenny O'Neal, Quinton Hancock, Austin Rogers or possibly Gerald Jones will be the main 3 receivers. Mark it down !

Right now, with the exception of Hancock, every other receiver on campus is at best a decent possessions receiver, at worse a non-contributer.

Slick Rick says, Justin Groves is exactly right about that. The Big Orange has a couple of possession receivers to go along with Hancock.

I watched on CSS last night and the Vols looked pretty good. QB's seemed to be throwing everything too high. Could be nerves, trying to prove too much with Ainge out. When did Chavis get bigger than Fulmer?
