Already talk about setting the attendance record. What does everyone think? Will there be 100K at Neyland 4/16?

Top 10 Attended SEC Spring Games:
1) Alabama (92,310, 2011)

2) Alabama (92,138, 2007)

Get the coaches and players signing 8 X 11 photos. Everyone entering the stadium gets a randomly selected photo, some autographed. That will up the attendance.

Please take note: nine of the ten top attendances took place in the state of Alabama. If you live in Alabama, you got the choice of a spring game or fixing the underpinning on your house, which are you going to choose?

It was free. Most of the time they'd charge $5 or $10. It was being promoted as an attempt to set the attendance record. Plus it was 3 months after ***** slapping Miami.

They purposely set out to break the record. It was promoted like crazy (for 1986). Even though it was free you had to have a ticket which were given away at Pilot or Arby's (can't remember).

There were actually people there from Guinness to validate. Unlike now where the numbers are just inflated guesstimations. You can put 50-60K people and make Neyland look full. Just put a person in every other seat. If you look at pics from the 86 game you'll see how "full" it was.

I'm more concerned about what they are doing to fix the field. Don't want to go another season where the commentators and the North Texas' of the world are laughing at our field.

What was the attendance last year? Was that the most in recent memory, or was it the year before? I'm trying to remember.

here is the attendance up till 2009,no idea why it stopped there :)

The game had an announced attendance of 63,016,found that


"Under head coach Butch Jones, the Vols have averaged 64,243 fans in attendance for each spring game and will be looking to beat the school's all time spring game attendance record of 73,801 set in 1986"

Is it actually going to be a game this year or another skills competition? An actual game is fun, a skills competition or the weird defense scoring system is boring

probably a skills competition,CPF said he hated these,he was all ways afraid somebody would get injured
