Orange Crush (again?)

We're on the front page of the NCAA section of ESPN, and for about the 6th time I can remember we have the headline "Orange Crush" (The most recent other time I can remember was when we started off winning the NIT in Basketball Bruce Pearl's last year, where it originally started off as "Agent Orange" before they changed the name from complaints).

So I figured, surely it's easier to come up with UT themed headlines when we win big. Let's hear some of our best. Surely the hack reporters who read the boards will pick a few of them up

Personally, I like 'Orange Crush'.

Seems like when we've lost in the past they've used "Orange Crushed". How do those writers manage to stay so original?

Orange crush is cool but I am stuck on "Volsaw". I can picture an avatar that looks like a transformer with a buzz saw as one arm (or chainsaw) and palming a football in the other hand sporting a big "T" on his chest standing on a mountain of other mascots with one foot on a gator's head and a decapitated elephant in the back ground with a tinted visor on his helmet looking slightly down......

Is anybody a good artist and could draw this avatar? I would buy it or could put it on a T shirt with some clever slogan like "Welcome all to Neyland Stadium the home of the Volsaw".

Hahaha, yeah I am eat up with the "Orange Fever" and excited about the possibilities to come..


I am sure somebody will have a smart a@# comment but help me out with other clever slogans or themes.. It is just great to be a Tennessee Vol..

I don't think a slogan or catch phrase really fits "us" . I'd rather just see " Vols whipped that @55 " on Sunday morning. Maybe something like " the juggernaut in orange could not be stopped " .

Orange Crush is fine with me. I hope we see it every weekend.

see, like this. Excellent headline because its just obscure enough that not everyone will get it, but anyone who knows the game knows its about the vols.

I thought the Agent Orange one was great personally, much more inoffensive than "Chink in the Armor" for when Jeremy Lin finally lost and the guy got fired.
