I think they worked well with the White jerseys.
If they ever do an "Orange Crush" uniform, the helmet needs to be a matte finish so it's not as hard to match up with the jersey color.

the light blue won't be on the jersey or pants themselves, but will be the wristbands, under garment sleeves, socks, etc.

You’re entitled to your opinion. So am I. To my old eyes, those helmets didn’t even look like the right shade of orange. But hey, I didn’t like the orange shoes back in the day either. It’s too much. Solid orange has no contrast. It’s like a bowl of orange sherbet.

The best uniforms, again IMO, have 3 colors for contrast. Auburn’s blue jerseys are classy. I hate Vandy, but they’ve had some good uniforms. Our Smokey grays are really nice. I even think the orange britches with white jerseys are cool. They looked good too when the numbers were outlined with navy.

I support testing the capability of the orange helmets. A game like UAB is a good place to start, but I certainly wouldn't try them in a conference game until the helmet has proven it can beat some OOC teams. It needs to get out there and tell us it's sorry.
