Orange Awnings in corners of arena

I'm no architect. But TBA has been transformed from one ugly bland looking place into an absolute palace. It looks so attractive now with the black seating, skyboxes, and LED lighting and displays.

And then there are those crooked Clemson colored awnings in the corners. They really need some sort of upgrade there.

That's the main problem, they aren't even the right color orange.

Spot on. The black seating looks crazy good. I like the lights are dim away from the court too.

They are there to protect those who walk in the walkways off the floor from not getting pelted by idiots throwing stuff on them. If they didnt have idiots they wouldnt have them.

Can they at least make the orange the right shade? Or make them black?

The covers are necessary because the walkway has a higher ceiling that the other entrys.
The higher ceiling is there so equiptment and other vechicles may have access to the arena for non basketball events.
Being higher means the tunnel is exposed to more fans from the sides which are lower, thus the cover offers protection from everything.
The wrong shade of orange is simply an oversight that will be corrected sometime in the future.

Those awnings were put in place to hide the gaping expanses created by the “elephant doors” in the arena corners. Those huge portals were part of what made TBA feel like an aircraft hangar before the renovations. I agree they need an upgrade and that they are allowed to sag too much. You’d see the difference if they weren’t there.

Haven't they been that way for a long time now?
