I plan to be there. What about a get together somewhere such as Calhoun's? Or maybe meet in a specific seating section.

Ok, I will definitely be there. April is looking like a busy month for me. I have to go chat with financial aid the first week, Drumline auditions are some saturday in April, and my Transfer student orientation is the 17th. I'm really hoping the Pride of the Southland wouldn't be stupid enough to hold auditions on the day of the game, as auditions run from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. However, if that is in fact the case, I will have to get together with all you guys post game and get your reactions. I do know it's going to be a blast either way.

Ok, dumb question. Are there student tickets for this game, or just general public tickets? I won't have attended yet, but I will have my UT student ID so I imagine I should have the opportunity to purchase student tickets, which I assume would be better seats.

They have never charged before so this may be different, but there are no "seats" at O and W games. You just sit where ever in the stadium. Doesn't matter if you are a student or alumni or just a fan. So don't worry about student tickets, it is probably going to all be the same.

I will be there it will be my 6th time going since 2000. Would love to meet up with some Volnation faithful. Any certain place & time?

This isnt the first time they have charged, i know of 2 other times they did charge. You do not have to pre-order tickets, you can just walk right up to the gate & get them there. You have no specific place to sit, every sit is open.

Last year was the first year they had the autograph session at Haslam field, & they will have it there again this year, so noone will be able to get on Shields-Watkins Field. They use to have it on Shields-Watkins Field except one year they had it inside TBA because it was raining.

broyles, were you at the VN get together last year? a few of us met at Calhoun's. I know we were talking about doing it again this year but I couldn't find the thread. last year was a decent turn-out, this year I expect many more!

My wife and I will be there. Bought tickets and reserved the hotel today, can't wait!

And we'll be at Calhoun's beforehand as well.

Correct. I was down there like 3 years ago and it was 5 bucks. You could purchase at the booth outside the stadium, and there wasn't that many people there. Maybe 20,000??? The last couple of years have been free. I don't remember being able to get the tickets in advance online before either. This either tells me they are expecting a lot of people, or they are trying to get an idea of attendance. I know I will be there and I will be tailgating. I can't wait!
