Longtime Vol fan but I have never went to the spring game. I read that they were going to charge $5 for tickets. Do you have to buy them in advance or is it first come first serve? How is seating arranged? Any help is appreciated.

The game is at 3:00 4/18/09 Neyland Stadium.

First come, first serve, pay at the gate. Seating is not normally a problem. Normally 25-30k show up. Sit wherever you want.

This year may be a little different, but I don't think you'll have a problem getting a seat.

this is the first time in a long time that you will have to pay to get in, its just 5 bucks and it goes to the school, not the athletic department. completely reasonable IMO

I agree.

I hope it saves a few of the 700 jobs they are talking about cutting...

Don't really care about the $5. I will be there. Is it for sure the game will be played at neyland. Awhile back there was a thread that the game may be held elsewhere because of the construction.

With UT's budget in the crapper, it's a nice idea to charge a lousy five bucks for the game and give it to the university. In fact, I'd like to see them levy a four- or five-dollar surcharge on top of the price of regular-season tickets to help out the university too.

Went last year. Don't plan on missing another one. It is a lot of fun. You can get a ton of autographs if you don't care to wait in loooooooong lines.

I had heard it wasn't gonna be in Neyland because of renovations. Who has heard that?

Will we have the new jumbotron by then?
