Optimism

Optimism = we are going to win the games we should win. (UT Martin, UAB, Memphis, and Vandy)
Positive thinking = between the Georgia, S.Car, Ole Miss, and Kentucky games, we can win 3 out of 4.
Wishful thinking = we can pull out one win against either Florida, Alabama, LSU, or Oregon.
My prediction is 6-6. I dont see how anyone can have us winning less than 4 games or winning more than 8. All we can do is hope for the best!! And by the way , I think Wilcox will be a better DC than Kiffy.

Fun to read the posts and see positivity, grounded or not. We will be laying a path to brighter days regardless of our record this year. Bray+recievers corp is the start of something great. If DD lands us the big uglies we need our future looks bright.

You and I are in the same camp but this being the positive thread I didn't want to post it. Wilcox will be wooed by some big teams in a couple years because he will show off here!

I would love to see SGM at a game. I bet he's one of those fans that all they do is watch it. Never get excited, just stares at what's going on. I bet the only time he cheers is when he gets home after a loss, because he can get on VN and tell everyone how right he was.

Lighten up a bit. If we want to be optimistic, let us. Keep your pessimism to yourself...

We are going to win every single game. I had a dream and Jesse Scroggins will transfer and be our Qb. Wait that was someone else last year having dreams.

I just know I'm excited about Tennessee Football starting back. I have no clue how we will do. I think we will win some and we will lose some. The sun will rise the next day and life will go on either way though. I will still be a Vol fan however it plays out.

:good!:

Life will go on. No matter how the game goes, I know come next Saturday I will be in front of the TV cheering for my Vols.

Brother I am all for optimism but at some point you have to realize that we are thinner at O-line this year than we were last year. We may have more talent(not experience) at skill positions but these kids are going to make rookie mistakes because we have so many new starters. Skill positions are very important but they don't matter one bit if we can't hold the line of scrimmage. 8 wins would be pretty miraculous, imo

As usual, you're completely wrong, but thanks for playing.

Must be a lot of alcohol involved. Cause if you attended a game with the outlook you display here, I definitely wouldn't go with you.

BTW: How was graduation?
