One thing I've always enjoyed about Lindy's football preview mag is their inclusion of an opposing coach's take on each team. Here is what some SEC coach said about the Vols this year.....funny and so true.

Id say a pretty accurate analysis of where we are right now, and yea, I also agree, anything better than 6-6 is a big accomplishment.

Can we play Guess Who? as to who said that about Dooley? I'll concentrate on the other SEC coaches since they're in the best position to make a statement like that.

Muschamp and Dooley are friends, so probably not him. Dooley was a Saban lackey, so probably not him. Richt is a Godly man, so surely he wouldn't say anything like that about someone else (would he?). Spurrier and Miles don't strike me as the type of guys to use the word "Dude." Could be wrong though. Stoops got to UK after Dooley so he didn't really have any interactions with him. Same with Mason at Vandy. So my money it's one out of the following: Pinkel, Gus, Bielema, Mullen or Freeze. I'm leaning towards Bielema, Mullen or Freeze. Who you got?

That will not fly around these parts, but yes it is a big accomplishment.

Out of those three, I wouldn't include Bielema. Not that much interaction if at all with Dooley. This sounds like Mullen or Freeze. If I am guessing it is Mullen because we played him, twice?

doubt its freeze since he started/played several newcomers in the trenches himself

plus going into last season he was in the same spot as we are this yr. two very comparable programs right now.

tunsil
nkemdiche
golson played in every game
evan engram was in the trenches some as a TE
Lavon Hooks was a JUCO newcomer

Don't think it's Beliema. The thought of him calling Dools a pompous a$$ is just too much of a pot/kettle thing.

Growing up in the 80s and 90s, never thought there would come a day when we would hope for 6-6 and a bowl game, and consider that season a success....it is what it is right now I guess.

Lol. "They have a good young receiver in north"

If there's one position we're stacked in this year it's receiver. Don't think anyone is paying attention to that outside of us.

Unless it is a West coach who doesn't have to play or scout us this year and doesn't particularly care.

Whoever said it could have just copy and pasted from any sports mag or site out there. Still don't get why they think the past lines being gone mean the team will be hurt by it. Did they not look at the losing record for 4 years and figure out that would be no big deal. Both Worley and Dobbs have 14 starts between them. It is safe to assume they will both be better this season. Even Peterman will be much better and he is not going anywhere.

I am glad they all think that. Will make it easier and much more enjoyable proving the "experts" and naysayers wrong.

The old DL was terrible for several years. It's not as bad as they are making it seem.

More speed and athleticism

I'll take Jordan,Vereen, owen and maggit over hood, big Dan, and jac smith
