I believe the powers that be, have lost sight to the fact that UT is nothing without its fan base. We are a school of historic and deeply honored traditions and most of that is due in part of the fans that have poured their souls into this program for more than 100 years. I'm all in for ReVoLt! Bring Tennessee football (and all sports) back to prominence! Their are coaches we could hire right now that the fans would back! We are still GREAT we just need to get rid of the incompetent people pulling the strings. #FIRECURRIE and BOOT HASLAM ASAP!

I said this Sunday night with hardly a response. Besides the FlyinJ/pilot trial going on there is about to be a huge story drop about the Haslams and our beloved university. I've just seen people hint at the story on here and skeeter (from the RF) being one of them mentioning it. Others that have mentioned it said it makes them want to vomit.

I asked last night and couldn't get a real answer as to why are they interviewing coaches with barely a .500 record or below. As bad as I hate Bama do they not see the formula down there and want it here? Season ticket sales would be up 300%. Regular ticket sales would be up 300%. Merchandise sales would be up 300%. TV exposure would be up 300%. Recruiting would be up 300%. Knoville economy would be up 300%.

With a Haslam as the Governor he controls all Capital project funding for UT. As a family Jim, Jimmy, and Bill give millions from the Pilot corporation. That folks is a 360° stranglehold on our university.

I don't see this just being a power struggle so they can beat their chest and say this is who we will hire when you have 4B in the bank. There has to be alot more to this story.

Considering out of the top 20 officers in the Pilot Corporation have either been indicted, jailed, or turned states witness, except for Haslam himself, how long do you expect this to continue?

We need to play the race card to get the media on our side. Follow the Mizzou blueprint. Somebody draw a swastika in the Vols locker room. When the situation isn't dealt with promptly, we blame Currie for creating a hostile racist enviornment, and demand his ouster. National media comes running to agree with us and get rid of him.

I'm not sure what to think about the Haslam angle. That could mostly be rumors. But, what I am sure of is the Athletic Department is in shambles. I've been a Tennessee fan since the 70s. I loved going to every game as a student in the late 80s. I moved far away since then but have continued support. But, with this current mess, I won't support with my money or time if they screw this hire up and give us 5 to 10 more years of mediocrity. I just moved back (4 hours away) and was excited to go to a game at Neyland again. Now? There's just no way I can support this mess.

Why not turn your voices toward Haslem headquarters if he is the problem. I think he wants the attention.

You can deduce a few thing using simple logic. Schiano coming out of nowhere made NO logical sense, when you are in the beginning of your coaching search. You don't look at co-ordinators first, unless somebody tells you to. There's only one person that would have been pushing Schiano so early in the search.

And I hope he stays. With that said, I think DD is a solid coach and can resurrect UT Football from the depths of despair we know all to well in Raleigh. His philosophy is reality when it comes to building a culture and system "Lose by a lot, lose by a little, win some/lose some, win by a little, win by a lot". In 5 years he has taken us from Lose by a lot to between the win some/lose some and win by a little margin steps. Took Clemson to the wire 2 years in a row, could have won both years had we caught that ever elusive break. It realistically takes 5-7 years to develop a program, and he has taken us to 8-4 (Could easily have been 11-1, damn those breaks we cant seem to get) with 3* talent. He can recruit, and he can coach. If you haven’t seen the episodes of "one" ONE with Wolfpack Football: Episode 7 - YouTube , it has replaced the weekly coaches show that always seemed "meh". This is unprecedented access for us Wolfpack Fans, and shows the level of commitment and love that exists within a P5 college football team.
I’d hate to see coach go, but you all saying he is a mediocre coach is uninformed, just thought I’d learn ya something. Best of luck regardless of what happens.
