Open Letter to Tennessee fans..,

The offense "works" with a mobile QB. Bajakian has been ramming a square peg into a round hole all season long and the results have been awful. This wouldn't piss me off nearly as much except that Jones stated multiple times when first coming on board that he intended to run a "power spread" (whatever that is) and that his track record showed that he adjusted his offense to the personnel. That clearly hasn't been the case here at UT. Dobbs is not superman and he's going to make mistakes, but he IS a mobile QB and that has been the missing link to this offense. We will not make a bowl game without him behind the center :twocents:
I'll remind you the schedule was extremely front loaded. I agree that Dobbs should be the guy going forward and he likely will give us the best chance to win BUT he wasn't ready early on. Everything we've heard from the press reflects that, everything we saw last season reflected that also.

Do you want to rephrase that? Jones had a better record than Kelly at CMU. Jones also had a pretty solid record at Cincinnati after the first year following Kelly's departure. The won the Big East title in his second year there and were 9-3 his final year there.

You are right about CMU, I apologize. Of course after Kelly went 12-0 at Cinnci, Butch went 4 and 8.

Then in that wonderful 2nd year of which he was Co-"Champion," after losing to WV who he tied with at 5 and 2, he also got ran off the field by Dooley, and beat no one worth a crap. The best team would be Vandy in the bowl game I guess. I think there was only 1 other winning team he beat, which was Louisville at 7 and 6.

It really is that simple. Winning is the goal, regardless of the situation. Everything else is just an excuse.

What is a reasonable time frame for the winning to start? For me personally it has to be next year. After that my patience will wear out.

With your logic, your patience will be continually wore out. If you think it is reasonable for a coach to come in and make a complete makeover of a losing team in 2-3 years in the stiffest conference in the country you are out of your mind.

Don't get me wrong. I want to see improvement, but I'm not going to put my stick in the mud and make a bunch of bold declarations as to what our record has to be or the coach has to go. The worst thing for a program is constant coaching turnover. Butch needs the proper time and support to right the ship. He doesn't need non credible know it all fans coming down on him or the team after every game. There is a reason no one is beating down our doors for any college coaching jobs.

Firing Butch Jones after losing to Ole Miss, Bama, OK at OK, should be given an IQ test before allowed to post (or call) anything else. It is a short list of coaches who can beat those teams.

I'm not saying fire Butch Jones, but I think what some of us have said, and I will still say is .... it is a VERY VERY long list of coaches that would have beaten Georgia and Florida this year when we played them. Georgia doesn't seem so beatable now, because they have PROGRESSED.

Until the Alabama game, I wasn't seeing progression, I was seeing digression. Terrible game plans ... consistently putting our top-5 recruiting class in a position to lose over and over their freshman year. Against Alabama, at least we had a game plan that put our players in a position to be successful. And to this staff (and to our players) credit, when down 27-0, they did not quit like A&M did.

I'm ok if we're losing and getting better as a program. I am not ok with losing because the coaching staff seems in over their heads. Against Florida ... against Georgia .. this staff looked in over their heads. It was alarming to me. They needed to look in the mirror, and I think they did.

Who doesn't like jones? About 10-12 doo doo heads with no life that are screaming as loud as they can because they know it will get them attention... And it does.

This.

VN is one of the few places on the earth that the 'doo doo heads' have the ability to promote their senseless rhetoric and hundreds will view their low level thinking. They have no other forum where anyone, in the real world, pays them attention because of their penchant for such thought processes.

'Doo doo heads' just being doo doo heads.

You pretty much lost me at this point.
