Lord the rumors that start. Lol yes all the suspension stuff is true. But the reason it happened is we are having really intense practices and people getting all fired up. Well after a play was over the sophmore said chill out because Jac shoved someone after the play and jac siad something back and the sophmore took his helmet off and jac hit him once and walked off

I've heard that he was originally only going to be suspended for the first half of the game and then the parents of the other kid involved threatened to have him arrested if he played even one minute of the game. I thought it was weird that Monroe suspended him for the whole game since a couple of years ago a large portion of the OHS team got into a fight and Monroe only made them run laps....

I don't agree with the suspension. What happens on the practice field stays there. Tensions run high from competition and such. Sophomores shouldn't be telling a senior UT commit what to do. He sets the tone of practice. How many freshman or sophomores tell Eric Berry to chill the f out? Probably not too many.

Well their was a police officer at the practice (more of a friend of the team just dropping by) but thats why it couldnt really stay on the field. that and the kids parents

So this kids parents stuck their nose into a practice field incident that their son basically started, wow... Kid wont learn a thing with mommy and daddy fighting his battles for him.

I would have been embarrassed if my parents would have done that to me.

Hate it for Jaq.. Tell him to hang in there oolt..

Heaven help the kid's parents if their phone number gets out. That's about stupid on their part.

Who's the kid? You can PM me if you don't want the non-Ooltewah exclusive community to know since we're so elite and stuck-up.

I think we're missing the big picture here. Coaches LOVE an O-Lineman with a mean streak.

I was afraid it was you. Aren't you the back up QB?

When you sucker punch someone when they are trying to stop a fight you should be set down. It makes me sick to see the coaches praised for sitting him down because they tried to cover it up to start with. He is lucky not to be going to court, if he was anyone else he would be.

Where do you get that he "sucker-punched a kid who was trying to stop the fight?"

If this kid is stupid enough to buck up to someone of Jac's stature... And THEN take his helmet off... He needed his bell rung.

I will go out on a limb and say if the kid continues his football career after this year, he'll keep that helmet on at all times... Hell he might even sleep in it.

Just out of curiosity.....Did the other kid get suspended as well?

Yeah, Where did it say that he "sucker-punched" someone? The kid took his helmet off.....That's just asking to get hit.

it's an inside conflict between Ooltewahvol and me.....it was a joke about it being him because of the way he has so childishly put down the coach and starting QB here for all to read.....so, no, I do not feel "silly" and the young man got my message loud and clear

I was wrong i admitted that. Lets put that behind us. No more conflict. we are both vols

Come on man, you can't strike another person in the face. Especially a teammate. It doesn't matter if intensity is running high or not. As a senior and a leader you are expected to set a good example and not let your emotions get the best of you.

I'm going to guess another reason this couldn't stay on the field had to do with Smith being 18 and the sophmore being 15/16?
