He was under Diaz for years. Brought into Miami as DC, but when Diaz said he was gonna take over the playcalling he left.

Baker had them stout last year. Not sure why Diaz took over playcalling.

Baker seems legit. 38 years old too. Definite up and comer.

He would likely definitely jump back up to be a DC.

Miami’s defense was horrid last year man...stout? They didn’t even finish in the top 50 in total defense

LSU had a solid defense last season!

Blake Baker coached at Miami last year. LSU’s defense last year year has no relevance to Baker’s coaching ability.

But, I’m confident that our NegaVols will be able to provide a few relevant games, or a relevant season or two, when a Baker coached defense performed less than admirably, and thereby take the position that he is a bum hire for UT.

Please bear in mind that many (I’d guess most) NegaVols never played football past Pop Warner league, much less coached, as that would have required sacrifice and courage, unlike pontificating on a message board
