Only bad part about Dobbs play

If I remember correctly, Matt Leinart and Reggie Bush (USCw) were both considered one year as Heisman finalists.

Wasn't mariota and their rb for Oregon up for heisman last year? Can't remember, I tune out heisman hype ever since peyton didn't win. Two deserving Vols not winning the heisman was all I could take. Hadn't watched that crap since.

In 2017 when Hurd, Malone and the great group we got this year are seniors. When McKenzie and this next group are Juniors.

Volnation will be saying, man I wish we wouldn't have had to burn Dobbs redshirt.

But don't worry we will have a redshirt Sophmore or a redshirt Freshman to take over. We won't have to count on a true Freshman to team the reins.

Dobbs' red shirt means nothing down the road; he will not be CBJ's prototype QB for the future; he played baseball, I believe, in high school---he needs to bring back his sliding skill. Agility is his strength to avoid tackles, but one tackle burying right shoulder into the turf and he's done.

It would be great for Hurd to stay durable through his senior year; but NFL doesn't waste, any more, early picks on RBs; it's all about the passing game and defensive schemes to stop that and RBs don't rate high esteem/salaries any more.

Hope this current group fulfill their individual goals and create good memories of Team 118. Let's enjoy the present they're giving us.

There's no way we win that South Carolina game with Nathan Peterman (or Justin Worley) at QB, and the chances we get to a bowl game would be very doubtful if we had a 3-6 record. In other words, Josh Dobbs has saved this season and vindicated the trust that our recruits are putting in Butch Jones as a coach. Burning Dobbs' eligibility for 2017 is definitely worth it.

We saw Suh get heavy consideration his senior year. In my head I don't see it being too far fetched for Barnett to be heavily considered his senior year and McKenzie his senior year, I think these two kids are light years ahead of their peers.

Hurd or Dobbs could win it too

IDK about that maybe we don't throw an interception with Worley

In two years I fully believe with all of my heart that Dobbs, Hurd, Barnett, and McKenzie will be Heisman finalists in two years. Book it.

But seriously I doubt it would be impossible for Butch to get a 5 star qb sometime in next three years...

I can pump sunshine with the best of them. Love the enthusiasm but I seriously doubt one of our DLinemen will be considered for the heisman.

Well, apparently your sunshine pumping ability is vastly overstated...and the poster didn't say one of the DL, he said two.

:p
