...are on a longer win streak in 2019 than the Vols which currently have 5 wins in a row!

Go Vols

#18 Memphis (6)
#3 Clemson (12)
#1 Ohio St. (12)
NR Air Force (7)
#6 Utah (8)
#4 UGA (6)
#2 LSU (12)
NR Louisiana (6)

*4 other teams currently at 5 in a row

But I wanna be upset about something because I grew up in the 90s!!!

This makes sense, unless you are also saying, BYU was the same, after Pruitt didn't take GaS seriously, he decided not to take BYU seriously just to be consistent? I believe the team was in disarray at the start of the season, and no matter who we played, including GaS, would- and did beat us, fair and square, then BYU did the same thing. Nonetheless, it would be very difficult for even a great BS artist to convince me that Memphis isn't better than GaS, now, and was at the start of the season.
Are you serious? UT controlled the whole game and led against BYU. It was one bad coverage breakdown. The quality of play in Ga State and BYU was night and day.
GTF outta here with that crap.

Clemson is actually up to like 27 or 28 in a row now right? Hope we get that good soon.

Night and Day? Just in case you've forgotten, we lost both games. I stand by my original thoughts, GaS beat us, in Game one, had we been playing Memphis, they to would have beaten us. For the first 5 games of the season, our team did not have their heads screwed on straight, it has been almost a miracle that we turned it around, but to claim we had night and day better play against the powerhouse BYU, but lost anyway seems like, as you put it: crap.

A couple of thoughts regarding GaS and BYU, I know we all hated those two losses, but consider, both of those teams are Bowl Eligible, with 7 wins each! Many of us have considered them to be cupcake teams (teams we play so a we are almost guaranteed a bowl), but it turns out, both being bowl eligible makes them formidable opponents - who saw that coming? It puts a different shade on the situation, and even if we'd beaten them, they'd still have 6 wins-going bowling. I guess they were a lot tougher than we've given them credit for.
