Looks like they have sold 56,000 of the 74,000 allotted to season tickets if those calculations are correct. Still leaves 18,000 remaining unsold. When you add the number of students that do not pick up tickets anymore you are looking at about 75% attendance at the best.
I have been with the fund for 7 years now and still cannot get a close parking, I put in my requests each year and still get lot 40 which is good after the game since I can ride the train but before the game I like to tailgate with my friends who get to park in G10 3-4 hours before the game and the train is never running yet so I have to walk.
Is this for sure? I think it would take away from the stadium with a parking garage right in front of it.
what i don't understand is that espn is giving the SEC schools millions since their tv deal yet ticket prices keep going up.
Hope we never reach the point where you start finding tickets on your windshield. I actually had that happen in Atlanta several years back. I put them on somebody else's windshield.
Don't remember the years (early to mid 2000's) but I have picked tickets up off the road that were better than my season tickets and used them. Also stood up in Ruby Tuesday's one Friday night (had a couple too many) and held up a pair of Bama tickets for the game the next day (yes, home game) trying to GIVE them away and people looked at me like I was nuts. I had to go out of town unexpectedly and couldn't use them. Was considering helping the cause this year by buying back in, but fortunately I didn't. My company essentially shut down last week, so I am looking for those tickets laying on the road again......bleh.
Yes it is for sure. That being said, your concern is being addressed. I believe the majority of it will be underground and maybe only one story high. They said the design is being influenced to not block the view of Neyland
This would be awesome. It would most likely be expensive to maintain and build, but I would I like to see a grass surface on the top reserved for tail gating. It could be a project for the AG department, however the money going into the design for drainage, trees breaking up the concrete if any were planted, etc. would make it a nightmare.
They could always do field turf I suppose.![]()
I've always thought that instead of a parking lot it should be a grass area similar to the grove at Ole Miss.
