Only 50,000 season tickets sold per tos.

Thanks LWS....the $1k lower are already availabel on UTTix. They were offering a parking pass with the post card that I was talking about. THAT would be nice.

negotiate parking. :)

hard to get close parking if you are just getting started but the start is what is important.. once started, you can move up quickly... Can ask for parking improvements every year.

I caught a break that I hit it right as we were taking off in 89-90.

Moved my 4 seats in Y7 to section B in 1990. then in 1991 I asked for 10 more tickets in that section. All are in use right now. if I had tried for that in 1995, would not had been available. Neither of the moves would have been available.

Best to jump when they are available and get on board. this thing turns around, fans will gobble up good seats quickly.

Havnt had the cash on hand to get mine yet... I am sure there are a few more like me out there.

Plus in the age of HD tv.. ticket sales across the nation have dropped, its not just a UT problem.

I have been with the fund for 7 years now and still cannot get a close parking, I put in my requests each year and still get lot 40 which is good after the game since I can ride the train but before the game I like to tailgate with my friends who get to park in G10 3-4 hours before the game and the train is never running yet so I have to walk.

Renewed for 40th year today. Still have 4 but kids are gone and if like last year have trouble finding someone to use the other 2. Hopefully better this year.

Renewed my 2 tickets today. Going to have to sale some games this year though due to work and moving 6 hours away.

For those of you that are members of the Tennessee Fund, are you satisfied with how everthing works? Is it worth becoming a member for the parking benefits and such?

I have had terrace seats from the first year and will not this year. At $ 5000.00 per year donation, plus $ 3000 CAP then to pay over $ 1200 for the actual tickets, then a few hundred for a parking pass ...... not worth it ... It was especially difficult to see the university give the best middle seats in the Terrace to the banks and other corporate sponsors ... the whole section. People like me who really sacrificed, and hurt to pop for that kind of commitment, got the 20 yard line or worse. ... so, for over a grand a game ... not worth it at all .

Yeah, those 20 yd. line seats really suck. That must be tough. :)

Seriously though, that is a TON of money. Are there any other benefits to sitting in the terrace? Do they provide food or drinks for the people up there, or is it the same concessions the rest of us get?

Put you money in HDTV, I went over to a friends house to look at his new 92" inch. WOW. We watched an NBA game and felt like I was on the court.

I bought a`73" for last season and thought I was at the top of the food chain, now that set sells for $1000.
Much better use of money than season tickets.

Then why are you complaining about the number of tickets sold Captain Sunshine?

I have no complaints. It is an investment though. Yes money talks, but If you are able to keep donating for a long time on a consistent basis in consecutive years it helps out too.

Ticket prices will probably go up again even when sales are down! There explanation would be they needed more to maintain a certain budget.
