As long as the street value is low, the preseason sales will be low as well. I think instead of bigger stadiums we will see downsizing and more plush seating choices in the future. Pushing out "cheap" seats all together.
I hear you. I've been dancing along the fence since last season ended. I'm a long time season ticket holder who gave over 2x the donation required for my seats. So I cut my donation in half this year to stretch out my decision point. I still got offered the same seats. Got the $795 bill in the mail for the actual tickets and right now have decided not to re-up. Its a long drive for me, so on top of the tickets its about a $500 weekend. And I have other new toys I'd rather play with on those weekends. It is a pretty big investment to buy tickets, travel, stay the weekend to see a losing team. Losing to me is SEC teams basically, the easy games don't count as real wins as far as a team worth spending a lot of money on to see.
I renewed my season tickets this week and add 4 too it, I had a hard time paying 80 for Fla. and Ala. I also bought my away game ticket for SC, funny they have had a better season then we have in the last couple of years and their ticket was only 60.00. how does that math make sense? The other issue with the season ticket issue is the people running the ticket office and the Tenn. fund are lost 90% of the time.
If ticket sakes cont to dwindle, that is the only way to go. No way they bring prices back down. And if they really cared about the place being loud again, they would not kick you out for standing. If you look around the new atmosphere is being created. It's only a matter of time. That could very well be the way things are headed, but if people already think the atmosphere in Neyland has taken a hit from 10-15 years ago, just imagine if they do that and price out the average joes once and for all. It's gotten expensive enough that it's tough for a middle class family to afford to get the season tickets, but IMO it will kill Neyland if they essentially convert gameday to a "corporate event".

with a lower quality product and bad economy, the university needs to cut prices
buy fla tickets on the street on gameday---less than $50.
For those of you that are members of the Tennessee Fund, are you satisfied with how everthing works? Is it worth becoming a member for the parking benefits and such?

Where my wife and I screwed up was not getting the 2 lower level season tickets plus a parking pass for a $1k donation a couple of years ago. Parents of current students were getting postcards with that deal on them. Actually might jump on that deal if it comes around again.
I'm pretty certain if you called, you can get 2 lower level seats for 1K today. North or SOuth endzone likely have seats available. Might be some in Section A.
Call and speak to Adam Wilgus. He will let you know options.
