Is Tennessee going to leave a very select group of teams that has never lost 8 games. They are only two teams that can say that. There has been alot of talk about them finishing 4-8. Myself, I think Tyler Bray will be the spark this team needs to win out and finish 6-6. I'm just curious what you thik Volnation.

I hope you are right and I think we may get a glimpse of a great future with Bray tomorrow but I think we lose one between Kentucky or ole piss. 5-7

Ohio St.
It was Tennessee, Ohio St., and Michigan. But , Michigan lost 8 a few seasons ago.

Never understood the significance of this stat since not only has OSU not lost 8 games in season, they have never lost 7 games in a season either.

They should beat Memphis today and maybe Vandy in a couple weeks. I just don't see any way this team beat UK or Ole Miss. Best case scenario, 4-8.

I think Memphis and Vanderbilt are wins. UK and Ole Miss are toss up's.

3-1 down the stretch would be my guess. Finishing 5-7 would be a huge accomplishment for this team.

I voted 5-7 but like the question I Called In to sportstalk a few days ago. What if we are 5-7 and lose the bowl game if we are one of the couple that get an invite for not enough 6-6 teams. That would be awful.

I think Memphis and Vandy are wins as well as either Kentucky or Ole Miss. I don't see them running the table, but a 3-1 finish is realistic.

A 5-7 Tennessee football team is about the most likely candidate to receive a bowl bid, if there aren't enough 6-6 teams to fill those spots.

No it wouldn't. I'm sorry but even with our depth and inexperience problems, 5-7 is a disappointment. 7-5 and a bowl trip would've been a huge accomplishment. I think 6-6 is still doable and would at least salvage our season. However to say 5-7 would be a huge accomplishment is just setting the bar way too low, even for this team.

For this team, yeah, 5-7's a pretty big deal, considering just how bad this team actually is. I predicted a 6-6, 5-7 year, and so far, that's exactly what's happened.

Going 3-1 over the next few games would be good for momentum next year. I'm hoping for 4-0, to get to 6-6, but I doubt that's going to happen.

You've watched this team play, right? They've won two games out of the eight they've played, but now to win three out of four wouldn't be a big deal?

Just shows how far UT fan's expectations have fallen

It still is a bit of a shock to the system to say that 5-7 is an accomplishment for a Tennessee football team.

Nobody wants to see their team have a losing season, but for THIS team, a 5-7 record would be at least somewhat acceptable. I hope for them to run the table, go 6-6 and to a bowl game, but with all this teams problems and their record so far, I don't see them putting together four perfect games. It's possible though. A win today against Memphis would put some much needed confidence and momentum into the team.

Yeah, you're right. We have no chance. Those two teams at home are much more difficult than the games at LSU and at USCe. Give me a break dude. We may not win either, but we definitely have a chance.

If we did win out,and we won out convincingly. Do yours guys think we'd come out next year ranked in the top 25?

5-7 is not a good season.

7-5 was the mark that would have indicated a great season of coaching.

6-6 is the line for mediocrity.

So, 6-6 with a bowl win would be a good season. Anything less, is not impressive.

The team should be 2-6 without any coaches, although the coaches may have been what we needed to beat UAB in OT. Sadly, that's about all one could credit to coaching in the W-L column this season.

Not a chance on God's green Earth. Tennessee would be lucky to be in the "Receiving Votes" category.

Yeah, but you can flip that and say coaching costed us the lsu game!
