Has anyone tried Loyal3? They claim that investment accounts have zero fees. Zero transaction fees, specifically. And no minimum account fees.

I'm interested to hear some feedback. I use ShareBuilder right now. $4 transaction cost when setup on automatic investment.

It looks to me like they raise money by charging fees to corporations to help raise capital through IPO's and such. And they have a very limited list of stocks that you can buy through them. So I guess it's not worth much, and I'll stick with ShareBuilder for now.

Optionshouse is 3.95 per trade. I haven't found anything better yet.

I'd love to see a stock forum to discuss thoughts on the market and specific stocks. Would be a lot of fun and get a lot of posts and page views.

As for services, I'm a former eTrader and now use OptionsHouse. Like their low fees and good mobile tools for the price.

Though now thinking about taking a look at ScottTrade after Bham and Freak recommended.

I tried and failed.

there's a stock market thread in the politics forum. would probably be better to be more pub-friendly
