One year from now after........

Doesn't matter if We the fans express our opinion...It only gets heard by each other....Big picture?..What big picture?....That we have a coach who has had ONE wining season in his entire career?....That We currently employ a coach who can not coach a team to victory over a team We have beaten 26 years in a row and started a wr at qb and beat us?...Tell you what, you give me a bright spot or future to look at and I'll give you an inkling of credit....Give it your best shot :)

Another "fan" that has no idea what a mess CDD inherited when he took this job. He has made great strides with recruiting Top 10-15 classes. Now, give him some time to take these recruits that are his own and win some games, starting in 2012.

You support his recruiting efforts at the moment, then, when the season gets here, if the results are not much better, you DEMAND that he gets fired, And Most of the Vols fans will be with you. All I am asking you is to wait until then. Is that so hard?

Good recruits are useless when you do not have a coach who can develop them.

I understand the mess he inherited....2 years ago....TWO YEARS AGO...Get it through your head that they are not freshman anymore....Keep making excuses...Seems other coaches aren't having such a hard time turning their programs around after losing a coach...Bama, Michigan hell even freakin Vanderbilt's NEW coach has them fighting and believing in themselves....UT's players do not respect Dooley and do not listen to him...It has been well documented in the past....There are no more excuses...None

He had 2 weeks to close his first recruiting class, which BTW, he did an amazing job. His 2011 class was his first real class. Bama (Saban) had a losing record his first season, Franklin inherited almost 30 Seniors at Vandy. As far as the players "respecting" Dooley, I can't argue that based on what has come out, however, give him time to weed out the bad attitudes. Winning games changes everything.

Yes, but, does our program benefits by asking that our coaches be fired right now? ......

of course not, so, I am asking you, wait for the bad results that you expect next season and then complain and yell about Dooley.

No he didn't :eek:lol: The NCAA stepped in and made them forfeit some games...But on the field he didn't...He finished 7-6 with a win over Colorado....I respect your loyalty but do not understand it.....But ok

And your basing your statement off what? Feelings? I surely hope it turns around, but don't put him up there with "program builders" just yet.

I stand corrected, Saban did finish 7-6 in his 1st season at AL due to the bowl win. (they did not have to forfeit any games ) My loyalty comes from the fact that I am not a fair-weather fan and understand it takes more than one full recruiting season for a coach to implement his plans and take a program that was void of talent like Tenn. was to an SEC contender in 2 years. Give the guy some time. We can't afford to change coaches AGAIN so soon. Support Dooley and if he does not get it done by 2013, then we can talk about making a change.

Some of us believe that UTK can hire a better coach now that the roster is back up to 85 and the NCAA investigation is over and some of those who share this belief also believe that DD is not going to take us where we want the program to go based on piss-poor game management and a compete lack of ability to motivate his players. I happen to think that anyone who disagrees with me on this is just whistling past the graveyard but I'm not going to start hurling insults at my fellow fans or telling them that they should eat their hat for two more seasons because we haven't reached the same conclusions.

4 coaches in 5 years would almost be unprecedented (except for Pitt). No insults coming from me. Trust me, I am not happy with losing but at the same time, I don't think we can continue to have a revolving door of coaches. Give Dooley his shot and if he does not turn it around by 2013, I agree its time to move on. With that being said, I also think we need to see substantial improvement next season...

Won't matter because Wilcox will be leaving and taking Sirmon and the entire recruiting class. We will be speculating on Bray and Rodgers marijuana use before the bowl game. Drunk Johnny (previously Muschump presumably) will be posting under the name Hammered Billy.

Post of the year IMO

With 8+ wins next year Dooley is seen yet again as an up and coming coach. Richt retires after losing to the Vols and being forced to either retire or be fired. Dooley jumps ship to follow in his fathers foot steps at Georgia. BUT......... Dooley leaves on a bitter note upsetting all his current players. Bray, Hunter, and Rodgers all agree to stay for 1 last season just so they can bury their former coaches new team. Potential coaches see the wealth of young talent and all the returning senior talent and in less than 48hrs after Dooley bailing on the team we have ALL the TOP coaches form both the NFL and College FBknocking down our door to become our new coach, if for nothing else so they can claim they were the coach that came in and took us back to the top. We end up with a staff full of coaches that most NFL teams would kill to make a HC.
With this new super staff and all the returning talent we pull in a class of nothing but 5* talent, we win the 2013 National Title and we start a decade of dominance where we win at least 10 straight national titles and have teams that the NFL SB Champions would fear playing every year, and even our 3rd string players are considered 2-3rd round picks in the NFL, and thats during their junior/(rs)sophomore seasons.

LOL, ah what a wonderful thing that would be!!!!

Look at the schedule. 8 wins wouldn't be special, or even good. The 2010 team was two fluke endings away from 8 wins, and the 2012 team should be considerably better then the 2010 version. The schedule also sucks.

This year was a disaster. Don't let that lower your expectations for 2012. A two game improvement from year one to year three should not be considered acceptable for the situation Dooley inherited.
