I hope you are joking. The Basic Training for the Army and Air Force greatly differs. Not sure what Air Force Basic Training is like, but I can tell you Army Basic Training was a fun miserable time when I went through 10 years ago.
I was actually being sarcastic. The Army is not the bunch of badasses they consider themselves to be.

The Army is not a bunch of pansies either. We have been involved in one war for closed to ten years and another for seven years. You'd be hard pressed to find another period in time where the Army has fought this long in any war. No we are not all Rangers or Green Berets but you gotta give credit where credit is due. We are the world's premier Army and fighting force.
I will be doing what millions have done before me. I will be going into Basic Training for the Air Force. December 14th will be my ship out date and I will graduate, God Willing, 11 Feb 2011. This will be the first time in 20 years that I will not get to watch all the college football bowls. It will also be the first time in about 10 years that I won't be able to follow recruiting for the Vols. All of that doesn't even include missing Christmas and New Years.
So why make a Thread about this? Well I am a Tennessee Volunteer through and through. While I am running through mud, doing push ups, getting little sleep, and even being talked to like I am no one, my heart will still be with the Vols. I will still wondering how they are doing at 6:40 on 30 December 2010. I will still be wondering how our recruiting class finished on 2 Feb 2011. I will still be a Volunteer and after I graduate I will know that I am that much closer to seeing MY team take the field in 2011.
I do have one request and it is that everyone cheer a little louder, clap a little harder, and celebrate a little longer after we win. I promise you that I will run a little faster, do push ups a little longer, and never give up. While no one will notice on the outside, deep inside will be my Tennessee Volunteer Pride shinning through it all.
Go Vols and God Bless!!!
I didn't say the Army is pansies. However, they are not the overwhelming physical superiors of the Air Force. By the way, I am very thankful for what the Army does over there.

I've always suspected that. I don't trust crew chiefs either. Lord knows what they do when we're away from the jet.
Always trust the crew chiefs, they are the backbone of the flightline. Also, their reputations precede them in places like Crete, Panama, St. Croix, etc.
Yes, I was a crew chief on C-130's. Good luck and enjoy your time. There will be a lot more good times than bad.
