Eh, just looks like any other transaction to me. He gets the positive social media exposure for the price of some shoes. The homeless guy gets some shoes for being the guys stage prop.
As a "transaction" the boy definitely got the raw end of the deal for some exposure, but the homeless man (stageprop) sure was blessed. I don't think either of them complained. You misuse this scripture with the implication that every good public deed should be shamed. Lord forbid Himself that He would multiply fish and bread multiple times in front of a crowd of thousands like some publicity stunt.
But Jesus said to him, “Do not forbid him, for he who is not against us is for us" (Lk 9:50).

That's awesome and they looked needy. Help those that need it and do so in a way that they can't buy drugs or booze with your hard earned dollars.

I lot different than what I am seeing Colorado now with the legal weed. We have professional panhandlers, young and in great shape and very hirable that are too lazy to work. Some of them even drive vehicles to their panhandling intersections.

Good lord. The kid done a good deed but people still want to talk negative about it. Who cares that he posted it. The fact is, he still done the good deed. Some people aren't happy unless they are Bi$&%+?!. This is a sad world we leave in and it's nice to see some good.
