Just thought I would post this since this os the coolest thing I have seen in a while. Enjoy!

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">I walked to the strip to get food and a homeless man (Lala) couldn’t walk because his feet were hurting from the torn shoes he had on. I told him I would come back and 15 mins later I did. Don’t know those people but I do care. Love. <a href="#GBO hashtag on Twitter">#GBO</a> <a href="Garrett Johnson on Twitter">pic.twitter.com/STDaiXiUkX</a></p>&mdash; Garrett Johnson (@John14Almighty) <a href="">September 6, 2018</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

One should never give a homeless person new shoes. Find some that look well used. Out there, new shoes get a person mugged.

And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men.Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

Cannot stand when people do this on social media. Oh well. Just ignore my cynical self I suppose.

I certainly do not see this as a 'Pat on the Back' moment for this young man. Who was he? Did he ID himself? No? Then what I saw was a kind and concerned man posting something on social media that may help raise awareness of the plight of those that we often ignore.

Nice, but what about the one homeless guy not wanting the white shoes because he was sad he couldn't have the blue? Are the homeless to the point of being spoiled now?

Eh, just looks like any other transaction to me. He gets the positive social media exposure for the price of some shoes. The homeless guy gets some shoes for being the guys stage prop.
Instead of looking at the messenger, look at the message. "Be ye kind to one another." Ephesians 4:32 Only God knows what's in a person's heart. I'd rather look at it as an example for other young people to do the same. Eric Berry fed some homeless guy in the downtown area a few years ago and I'm pretty sure he didn't do it for clicks on his Twitter account.

We know this as adults. He may be thinking that he can influence others to help. Cut him an F'ing break.

Agreed! Such negativity on here. He helped someone in need.

How in the hell can you see that thorn in his eye, with that log in yours?

What if the homeless person, newly mobilized by his donated shoes, walks across town and mass murders a young family?

So many on here are quick to criticize an act of kindness and concern for our fellow man. He didn't identify himself, he simply committed an act of kindness and humanity. I would suggest he posted it in an effort to encourage more of us to do more than we do now. God bless this young man and may we all follow his example.
