I wanted to throw a thought out there that I haven't heard discussed (at least this aspect of it). If this one-time transfer rule goes into effect like most think it will, what impact could this have during a coaching change? I can see a coaching change producing a mass exodus of players that would have, in the past, stuck it out at their original school to avoid sitting out a year. This would be crippling for the next staff and make a rebuilt that much more difficult. I also realize that this would make it possible for a new coach to easily bring players with him from his previous school and have them eligible immediately. It seems like the former would be more prominent. Thoughts?

Players are not slaves.
If the scholarship is for 1 year, so should be the player's obligation.

If 4 years, a 4 year obligation.
Coaching changes end obligation.

Most elite players are treated so well they are not that interested in a transfer.
Coaches are probably glad most that enter the portal are gone.

Once the monies start flowing for player's images.....
the portal will be wild
