What bothers me more is when fans at Neyland boo the opposing teams running onto field before games.
Especially non conference teams.

Booing poor play and poor coaching is as American as apple pie. Almost all fan bases do this.
Go to a Phil Eagles game if u think Vol fans are bad.

I've never understand this complaint. What do you want to do, cheer for them?

I'd encourage you to read one or two of the many articles written on the Nebraska fan base. The program may have been overcome in the recruiting arms race these past couple of decades, and suffered through a couple of bad coaching hires, but their fans are still a class act, perhaps best in the nation.

Everyone is entitled to boo the coaching and play calling all they want......us buying tickets, and if you live in TN your tax dollars, are what pays that coaching staff millions of dollars

Booing the opposing team upon their entry into the stadium is almost like a sign of respect and I suspect expected on their behalf. Booing our players is never acceptable however, as is booing injured players either real or perceived pseudo injuries. Classless IMO and puts us in same category as a Bammer.

If I was a teacher I would give this 1 star.

I can understand booing the play calling, but I don't agree with booing our players, no matter the circumstance.

fans aren't booing the players but the coaches. the players are only running the plays that Butch is calling.

I am a teacher and I was wondering who Bo was:). As far as the booing goes, I really don't have a problem with it. I really don't think players really care, especially the visiting team. It's like Bill Parcells told Phil Sims when they were playing at RFK and getting booed, "Sims they hate us so much here they love us!".

This, but I'm of the opinion Vol fans should never boo inside Neyland unless its over a bad call or a personal foul.

This ain't your son's rec league. Neyland should be intimidating, not inviting. Set the tone early, we're not going to make it easy for you. That should be our standard as the home team crowd

I've booed players 2 times, 2002 Rutgers and 2016 App State. Given our talent level those efforts by our team were totally unacceptable. I will not boo a player for giving max effort and they just get beat by a better player/team. As a former college athlete I feel it's expected you give max effort for your scholarship.

Compare University of Houston's play calling against Oklahoma in '16 vs. UT's of last season. It is these types of comparisons that fans make, mentally catalogue and "boo" when they keep seeing the same ole thing.
