One play cost us a chance.

Why do we wait until the last of games to crank it up. Is it because we have not overcome "losing mentality" that has taken several years to develop. We seem to play safe right until the last of the game. Just start out like that and stay with it for the whole game. But, bottom line they were better than us. It was their front four on defense that killed us

I disagree. SC broke that "losing mentality" IMO. We played a team that could exploit our greatest weakness and they did. Their d line killed our whole game plan. I really don't think it's anything more than that. Yeah, not having AJ hurt us on their two long TD drives but even with those, our offense was DOA.

We were driving down 3 Dobbs put it right on the numbers to Malone can't catch it, Mizzou did, momentum swings, ballgame.

Lets blame an 18 year old. granted it was a bad play, but it didn't cost us the game. The entire 1st half we squandered great field position and NEVER took advantage of it and scored. Herbie played this game and he was saying most of the game that you have to take advantage of good field position when you get it. This offense didn't. Its the little things thru the entire game that cause you to win or lose. Not a dropped pass, not a poor officials review, those may squash an opportunity but didn't cost us the game. But as irrational as most of you on here are, and must blame somebody for your loss, hey let's blame a true freshman.

What made that drop such a disaster was how much of a momentum killer it became. They had finally come up with a good set of plays that were working very well on the drive. Malone was wide open on the slant and had room to run after the catch. After the interception, the team just seemed to start acting defeated a bit. Defensive breakdown thanks to Justin Coleman on the next Mizzou drive killed the rest of the momentum. Even the crowd seemed to lose interest after the Mizzou score.

Is it too much for me to ask a 5***** star recruit to catch a ball laid right in his hands with the game on the line? I don't think it is unfair for me to expect that out of the guy...now if he had to make a difficult play I can forgive that but the ball was thrown right into his freaking hands for gosh sakes.:pardon:

It's a bit much insinuate his career is a bust after one drop..

I had high expectations for Malone after the spring game. He hasn't loved up those this season. I'm not ready to say hell never get it done..

its very funny a lot of people thought we would be just fine without north.

Yes, I'll own up. I thought, and posted, that Pearson, Malone, Croom and Wolf would be beasting. Between the 4 of them, they had a total of 6 catches for 52 yds and 1 TD, though I don't blame those individuals for the play-calling, decision-making and pass protection or lack thereof. :disappointed:

More like six or seven, at least three huge pass plays, several huge runs, deflection int, sack taking us out of FG range, bad call on onside kick, drive extending penalties in 3rd quarter, dropped passes, Dobbs fumble, yada, yada, yada.

No offensive touchdowns. Crap offense. Terrible game plan. Milk toast O-line.
Defense and special teams kept them in game. O routinely blew it. Examine field position and it's a damn embarrassment that the O did so little. Pathetic.
What's more pathetic is stupid as hell fans thinking beating UK is a measuring stick foe success.

Dobbs sudden incompetence is eerily similar to late last year.

Dobbs' sudden incompetence? What exactly did he do to make you think he's all a sudden incompetent?

dobbs also moved the ball real well vs a alabama defense which is damn good. Lets not say "he's just done it against bad defenses".

OL got manhandled all night. THAT is the problem.

Pearson caught practically everything thrown to him. They just didnt get him involved enough. JMO.

I think the jury is still out on dobbs. He didn't look good tonight but it could of been that the WRs couldn't get open? He just doesn't throw that well IMO. Missouri is not that good, how do they keep winning. I would of thought we would win tonight. I will not even be able to watch next Saturday against Vandy. I will tape it and find out when it is over. If we lose next week, i will throw up. Here's hoping we win.

Don't think Missouri is very good eh? You should probably discuss this with Jalen Hurd. He was quoted last night saying Missouri's defense was the best they'd played against all year....better than Oklahoma, Florida, OleMiss, Florida and Alabama.

Going into halftime with 3 TOs and 1:50ish on the clock was a wasted possession. I know we got the ball back but that was a chance to get points on the board. Then come out from half and do it again.

Mizzou fan here--that crap drives me crazy when we do it. I love me some Pinkel but he's done this at times & it leaves me scratching my head. I realize many coaches do this not wanting to have a screw-up & give the other team points but a couple downfield throws trying to get a PI & some freebie points? Yes please.

IMO, there where several "bad" plays during the game and Mizzou exploited our weaknesses but the main bad play happened last Saturday night after the Ky game! AJ? We'll take care of Candy and get a bowl game.

Yep and it hurt even more that they did worse twice early in the game, but got lucky that we weren't there to walk into the endzone with the int. They also got lucky on that snap that just rolled right down into his Mauk's lap. We fumbled once and they got it, and we tipped one up and they got it. They fumble once and kept it, and had 2 worse tips fall harmlessly to the ground. Just unfortunate.

I'm still scratching my head why we packed it in with three time outs and almost two minutes left in the first half. That pretty much told the players hey we have no confidence we can move the ball so lets go to the locker room. WTF

My guess was tie game at home and we get the ball to open the 2nd half. Why try to rush the ball downfield and make a mistake. Better make some adjustments first then drive and score to open the 2nd half. Good thought anyway!
