is coming up on the horizon, UT's Football Camps. They start June 4th, and will take place on different dates during the month. Here's a link to the camp dates....

University of Tennessee Athletics Camps

The camps not only let the coaches evaluate players in this year's class, but in the next 2-4 classes as well. I think people need to understand what this time of year REALLY means, and that's evaluating pretty much the entire class, and planning your assault on the recruiting trail. Sure, there is a possibility of an early commit or two, but for this class, patience is going to be the key for success.

I'm looking forward to the camp circuit, because it always produces players that we haven't heard about yet. Technology isn't perfect, recruiting services aren't perfect, and even our coaches can sometimes miss kids, but getting every offer questionable kid to camp is what is going to help us win championships again.

I hope you are right, the next couple of years are very important in putting us in a position to be able to do that.

Yes they are. Seems like we're doing pretty well so far, we'll see how he handles it once he is expected to win 9-10 games and compete regularly for the division.

I know Tiny, Kerbyson, Crowder, Downs, Coleman, Dallas, Martin, Tino, Devrin, and Worley camped at UT for sure.

I can't remember if Clear, A.J., or Carson did.

AJ didnt make it for Summer camp, he was at FNL as well.

I can remember seeing pictures of Worley but I think that was during Spring ball. not sure if it was at Camp cus he was in Polos & Khakis.

he came 1 of the camps before he committed. he went to UT, LSU, ND, and FSU camps all that week. quote from an article last year when he committed: "Worley recently visited Notre Dame after camping at Tennessee"

I believe that the 2011 class is the best in a very long time. From A to Z, they should be good on the field. It's like a base that Dooley needs to build stronger and bigger. So I hope he is very highly selective this year, very highly selective.

In my opinion the best thing this staff could do for recruiting is WIN. If this team wins more games than they are supposed to this year then it will help recruiting tremendously IMO.

And we WILL win championships with Dooley. I truly believe that.

he really does seem to have the plan, drive, vision, organization, and desire....so we will see....I'm glad he's here...

ps.....don't go near the river today...
