If you are talking about participating in or winning the SEC championship, it might be worth reading.

If you are talking about what bowl trip the Vols might merit, or who they might face, that might hold some interest.

If you have opinions on our next opponent, it might hold some intrigue.

If you are whining and moaning about how a bunch of jackass sportswriters show their ignorance in a worthless poll, you are without a doubt hopeless.

the polls make zero sense. yes we had a 3 point loss at Carolina we were ranked 15th I think. With all the one that have lost in the past two weeks we would be in the top 10 at 8-2 vs out of the polls at 7-3. How they would rank us around <10 at 8-2 but not even in the top 25 at 7-3 makes zero sense.

Who cares? That was not the point. My point was that even good coaches lose to teams that they should not sometimes. Hell... 5-4 Pittsburg beat Clemson at Clemson. That is worse than losing to South Carolina away.:hi:

I would rather play in the SECCG than not. No matter how bad the matchup looks, it is always better to make it. It doesn't even matter if you have to "back in", "slide in", or "win in"...just make it.

That not really what happened with UK...did you watch the game? It was more like, UK had to get an onside kick to lose by 13.

Agreed. Kentucky game was never in doubt in the second half. It was certainly not a race to a winning point total.

How is it sad or miserable to know that Tennessee hasn't played any better (and some could argue worse) to make up a 39 point deficit?

They don't have the bodies to keep it close.

I'm still pissed about USCjr. We'd be a top 15 team right now. That's why I say that loss is the worst in recent history including Dooleys loss to UK. We had so much in the line this year.

I understand why Tennessee isn't ranked but come on the top 25 rankings are flawed. There are a lot of teams that get ranked who are not top 25 teams. In reality, on any given year the sec should have 8 teams in the top 25 every week. Tennessee will be ranked in the coming weeks. We are about the 20th best team in the country given our injuries.

Yeah our backups should have been able to beat USc. You and some others complete failure to realize how injuries can impact a game is mind numbingly dense.

why hang on to some false hope that they can stop Alabama? The only reason they got 10 in the previous match up is because of a strip sack. They just aren't a good football team and haven't improved enough on D.

They weren't playing good D when they had Shy and Kmac.
JRM never really got to play: 1 game against App, thrown out against VT, shoulder gave out against Florida. should they be able to shut down anyone? No but they shouldn't continuously get gashed wk after wk.

Make excuses all you want. There's no reason to lose to SC.
Butch can't beat arguably the worst HC in the SEC but is undefeated against a HOF? Then he blames the team? Players need to own this? He dropped the ball especially considering they had a week off prior to the game. Shoop hasn't been anything great all year but he did what he was brought here to do so he's already got his free pass I'm sure.

Injuries happen that's expected but playing like Tennessee does on D with or without a full roster and expecting them to beat a great team is premature
